I always had to work and always thought there would be next year so I didn't burn a vacation day to go. :'( Another lesson not to put off till tomorrow what you should do today!

Post by: shooter32 on March 09, 2010, 02:09:10 PM: Chris used to do a kick off concert every year to open the Greeley Stampede, a big thing around these parts for 80+ years. Rodeos and concerts, carnival and some good eats!!! June 24th to July 4th.

Got to meet Chris and Leon Coffee (rodeo clown) at the Stampede! ;D

I USED TO LIVE IN YOUR NECK OF THE WOODS & EVERY STAMPEDE WE WOULD TAKE THE WHOLE TRIBE TO THE EVENT. I NEVER GOT TO SEE CHRIS L. LIVE BUT THE MISSUS & I WOULD ENJOY HIS MUSIC WALKING AROUND THE STAMPEDE. :) GREAT MUSIC & A GREAT PERSON. RIP, COWBOY :(
