Title: Brady Bunch - tell them what you think
Post by: alfsauve on March 16, 2010, 06:25:20 AM
I'm on Brady's mailing list so I can keep up with their latest "ramblings".   Many times they send Links with which I can "express" my views to representatives or other officials.   All of their links appear to be "ID'd" so they can trace responses back to email addresses.   And, while I may use their reminder to write my congressman, I don't use their link to do so.

HOWEVER, I think it's time I came out of the closet with them.   They're taking a poll (trying to identify new volunteers) and I think it's time to tell them what I think.   SO, I followed their link and filled out their questionnaire, truthfully (name and address and all).  They actually do allow for some pro-gun responses.

I'm thinking, now that I've blown my cover, I might as well share the wealth.  Here is my link to their survey.   Please feel free to use it to tell them what you think as well.   You answer how you want, but you know my mantra.  Tell the truth.  Don't make up stories.

Oh and they're doing a drawing for a iPod.  Wouldn't it be a hoot if one of "US" one?

If I may make a recommendation

Break the link  by putting <>  at each end

then we need to copy and past to a new browser window or browser tab

reason why is the site admins can see where there link is being hot linked from and they can track it back to here ( a Pro gun site )

not something think we would want them to do...

You just rounded up to the nearset "100."

I don'y know about you but their survey remained me of the (senseless) 2010 Census questions.

I filled it out and gave them my real name. Not like they can do jack to me for it. Plus I want to win that Nano. I would love to sell it and but ammo or maybe even some new HIGH CAPACITY EVIL 'CLIPS" like the manic psycho killers at VT and Columbine and Ft. Hood used to mass murder innocent people. Wouldn't that be the best slap in the face to those fraking FACISTS! (Hoping for bonus points for the gratuitous Battlestar Galactica reference...)

Yeah, I would like to win that iPod.   I'd see if the paper would run an article on my selling it to buy ammo.  Actually, I think it would go towards buying my AR lower.....or parts thereof.

I'm interested to see if everyone using my link from Brady will get me booted off their mailing list.

I wonder if they'll post the "winner" on-line?

I looked at this link and I won't dignify that ridiculous idea of a survey with answers to their questions. Call me paranoid but I don't need my name and address floating through the "cloud" along with the fact that I own guns. I understand why some will do this but I just can't.
As an aside for those of you who might work in a gun store try asking for the NICS ID of the person you talk to when you call in a 4473. You will get their "Brady ID" not their NICS ID. We need to do away with the Brady campaign not encourage them.

I answered truthfully, put my neighbors address, down but my email address.  No phone number. Let em email me back.  ;D

Thanks alf.

See how many "other" bits of data they get from the population that legally and safely own firearms.

I did it, and I really hope one of us wins!  I plan open carry when I send them my thank you for the prize, and I will probably be listening to an MB podcast to ensure a great big grin ... Or maybe I should just be reading my Bible with a gun on my lap and the ipod on the table in the photo  ;)

I went through several links on Brady's site, my blood pressure is through the roof.  "Figures lie and liars figure."  That can be said about any and every organization.  We all twist facts and figures to best fit our wishes.  However, concerning Minnesota, the Brady Campaign out right lies!  I keep asking anti's to explain the ficticious "Gun Show Loophole" that the Brady's have sold the world on.  Now I have read it in their own words on their web site - According to the Brady Campaign, in the State of Minnesota anyone can buy any gun at a gun show with out a background check  ???

I gave them my secondary e-mail address for information.  I also told them that I would like information about helping with gun violence.  I am all for jailing that gun that is running around causing all this trouble for us  ;)  Actually, I am planning on responding to them at every possible turn that they are barking up the wrong tree if they are trying to end violence and murders.  Tool control will never stop the criminal.
