Title: Barrel recomendation.
Post by: TAB on January 09, 2008, 09:37:18 AM
As some of you know I'm rebuilding an "abused" delta elite, I was wondering if anyone could make a recomendation on a good barrel maunfactor?   Seems like every one and thier brother is making "match grade" barrels these days.

First and foremost, BAR-STO!

Irv Stone's barrels are the standard against which all teh others are judged.

PS: I hope you're happy...I fished by 10mm slide and barrel out and send them up to Caspian to have a frame fitted...

I told you, thinking, leads to spending money.   ;D

 edit

Now I was doing some thinking( I know just opened the wallet)   since I got you thinking about building a gun and you sent the gun to caspian to get some work done... I should get a discount for sending them work  ;D

PS... next time send it to cylinder and slide  :P

Caspian's just fitting a frame to the slide...the gun will probably go to Novak for actual building...OTOH, C&S does have my credit card on file...

Right now I'm accumulating parts....STI trigger, S&A magwell, AlumaGrips..if it goes to Novak, I'll let Wayne pick whatever hammer/sear combo he wants to work it. If it goes to C&S, we'll use their hammer/sear/springs set-up. In any case, I plan to fit it with the gun with Extreme Novak adjustables and a fiber-optic front.
