There was a possibility of a third cast member joining that group. Sonny Landham, the indian tracker, ran for governor of KY a few years ago, but lost by a rather large margin.

As a Minnesotan who lived under Jessie "I ain't got time to bleed" Ventura, these people get elected because some voters think that he can't be any worse than a politictian. However, they are worse. Of course Jessie's objective was to use the office to further his carreer. I guess that didn't work out very well for him.

Actually, most Minnesocoldans that I talk to think Jesse did a reasonably good job. Maybe they just had low expectations.

I'm not one of them...When he was the gov we had a budget surplus of several billion bucks. Remember, this is Minnesota, land of 10,000 taxes. The money was coming in so fast the liberal politicians couldn't spend it fast enough and we had a surplus - two years in a row. Jesse, while he was a candidate, said he would refund the all of the surplus. Instead of giving it back, permanent spending was increased using two-thirds of surplus and only one-third was refunded to taxpayers.
This has lead directly to some of the problems the state has today with the budget.

Perhaps they all vote for them because deep down they are hoping to find another Reagan?
