Title: Bye Bye Miss American Pie
Post by: twyacht on March 21, 2010, 10:13:04 PM
219-212, against the majority opinion of this country, was jammed down our throats,.... back room deals, lies, bribes, arm twisting, low approval numbers,....doesn't matter anymore....... It's what BHO, Pelosi, and Reid, and the greedy self serving bastards that caved to the "pressure" from within their party.

The tyranny, yes I said it, tyranny, of what this Representative Republic, has morphed into, is coming to fruition. Folks like FQ were worried about Bush???

Please.......what happened tonight sets precedent for far worse.

Ben Franklin, was asked "What have you given us?" He replied, "A Republic, if you can keep it." It seems we could not....At least with traditional means, but there is that Jeffersonian Tree reference.....

At the risk of sounding like a wacko from the appalachians I think it's time Jefferson got shoved down the throats of every single one of those ********* **** ********* that voted for this. This is why the 2nd was written... to deal with those that threaten the other 9.

$400 billion in increased taxes!

$200 billion to penalize successful doing well  >:(

Another $200 billion on the rest of us  >:(

I'll bet this will make us remember the days of double digit inflation in the medial industry as the "good old days."  :'(

In case it isn't clear, my critters shafted me again  >:(  Good old Mr. Walz hasn't missed a chance to stick to me yet  >:(

It ain't over and the fat lady has yet to warm up her pipes. The Senate can kill this thing by a point of parlimenterary procedure since the House changed the bill. This will send it back to the House for another vote. Not a done deal, but if I were you I would stop bitching and start calling my Senator. It will be done by Tuesday at the latest. Now is the time to act. This can still be stopped, but only by an unelected official.
FQ13 who is pissed about this whole thing. Pissed about healthcare that wasn't what was on offer in the election, pissed at Dem tactics in passing it, and pissed that the fate of a large chunk of the American economy now lies in the hands of the Senate Parlimentarian! WTF? I'll pay $100 to anyone who can name him without looking it up. Yet, he decides whether this whole thing goes through. His name is Alan Frumin (yes I looked him up)  and his call on whether the House bill is out of order or not will probably tell the tale. This is one for future lectures on how weird American politics can get, but now I'm just pissed. >:(

Truly a sad day for the Republic....
(Rant Mode On)

I work for a hospital that is getting bent over - dry by Medicaid patients (already almost 35 percent of our patients) and getting reimbursed only 38 percent.... We have had to raise our rates to everyone else 3 times in the past 2 years to make up for the shortfall... They had to raise MY ER deductable 400% so these drug seeking mongrels can come beg for vicodin and percoset for their baby daddy's to sell to kids on the street..... It is criminal to expand this program.... THEY PAY NOTHING!

I am truly scared for my job once this goes into effect...

Just remember 37 states are line up to challenge this monstrosity in court as soon as the usurper in the White House signs it into law. Seems that Florida's Bill McCollum is leading the charge.

I feel helpless.  In the local picture, my Congressional Rep and my Senators are firmly against this bill.  While I send them reminders to keep up the good fight, my letter writing is just preaching to the choir.  On the bigger picture I watch all this unfold and feel so sad for what my grandchildren will inherit.

In case anyone here thought from another post that I did not know what I was talking about when it came to OUR GOVERNMENT KNOWINGLY MAKING PROMISES it did not provide funding for, kindly see the quote above.  Now they, the government, have a part of that funding if this travesty takes place.

10 years of taxes for 6 years of coverage....what a deal.  SO GOOD THAT THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED IT IN DON'T WANT IT.

Are you awake now?

Sorry to hear about the job concerns XD.

I never thought I'd see the day when the future of my nation may rest on the not-so-broad shoulders of Bill McCullum.  Odamna is on his way to trying to become Dictator for Life.  I fear that Jefferson called it correctly with his tree analogy.  The time for watering may be closer than we think.

I weep for my nation :'(.

Thanks Rastus!I am prepared to do what all Patriots and Americans do when they are faced with losing their job...
Buckle down and work so freaking hard to be the best I can be at work and make it impossible for them to let me go!

Or I could wait around sullenly to get axed and stick my hand out to the Government... Nahhh.... Dont have it in me....

Gentlemen/Gentle ladies,

While we are all disappointed at the outcome of the health care vote, let's not jump to the extreme...yet. Perhaps even more frustrating debates and votes will take place before the smiling tyrant gets to sign anything. Then this whole matter is going before the courts, eventually ending up in the Supreme Court. Yes, the very court that the smiling tyrant trashed in his state of the union address will decide the fate of his precious health care and student loan takeover bill! Once, standing before a much lower court, I was advised by a lawyer (not mine) not to give the judge deciding my fate a hard time. That turned out to be good advice (and it was free). So, the smiling tyrant disses the court before God and Country on national TV and they will decide not only his bill's fate but also his own fate. Apropos. Until then, let's keep our intentions to ourselves and our powder dry! Smiling tyrants read what we say here and are not reluctant to act in their best interests (know what I'm saying?).  Keep the faith, Americans. Change we all can believe in is just around the corner.

Uh, FQ, just for the record and in the spirit of accuracy, the President Of The Senate, aka Smilin' Joe Biden, can overrule the Senate Parliamentarian.

Jrlobo, as far as my intentions, and whatever Homeland Security Watch List I'm already on, they can smile and know, that every resource at my disposal will be utilized to have them removed from office this November.

Pray we make it to November.

"All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing." At this point I don't care what it takes to eliminate this clear and present danger to America as long as it is just and right it must be done.

Point of order TW. ;D The Parlementarian can be overuled by Biden (pressuming he doesn't get lost on the way) and also Reid. Thing is, it virtually never happens. If it does, it will be an even more naked power grab. If I were a purple state Dem, I'd rather send it back to the House and make THEM vote on it. But, these days our logic and theirs are different things.

And this would be surprising????? At this point, the "Nuclear Option" will become common fodder, as they know that falling on the sword, is what good Progressive Liberals do....

Back to Reading the Federalist Papers, especially Madison (10) and (51)....

Madison thought of this very scenario, allowed for a potential correction with SCOTUS, and than of course there is always the tar, feather, and run out of town on a rail method,....

Tar and feathers (or rope ) is the only practical solution. The next big project is Immigration so that they NEVER have to worry about getting reelected, all our "new citizens" will be so grateful.
If you think they will let you vote them out your a fool.
The only way to get rid of a socialist infestation is to drag them out in the street and kill them.
and leave the bodies lay as a reminder to the replacements.

I always liked the image of Mussolini after the partisans got hold of him. It leaves a telling image for all politicians to remember.

Sad to say, but this has left me feeling discouraged.  Much of what I feel is expressed in the comment I found over on Brigid's Blog, posted in response to one of her posts....

I also work three people besides myself. If this bill passed I will lay my guys off and slowly back out of buisness. I will also sign my belongings over to my children to own nothing and just find a hole to crawl of in till I'm needed. I do not know this country that we are becoming nor do I want the stench of it on me. Beaks my heart that we ended up here.I pray that someone with more foresight than me can see a way out of this gator hole.

I ordered a blender today.  I need it to make Hazeritas....

AS a matter of fact, I think the Capitol building needs a new addition.....say, a new 'front porch', for instance....

I found some blueprints and plans online.......the finished product should resemble this....

Do any of those European castles still have those spikes they used to stick up heads ?  Or did they just use a spear / Pike ?

I think it is educational to post little reminders of a politicians true place in the scheme of things.

Any sharp pointy stick will do. Remember Vlad Tepec? And remember what "Tepec" meant? It was not his name, just a title.

PS: "Tepec" means "The Impaler", And ol' Vlad didn't bother removing the head first!
