This is a current bill in the House to restrict gun ownership. You must pass a psych test, pay more taxes, register your guns with the federal government, bla, bla, bla....

Sounds like New Jersey.

True but VERY unlikely to go anywhere.

FQ, amazingly, is correct, this was a dead issue even before the election.
I'm really sick of hearing about this and the alleged "Tax on guns", another DOA bill that because of internet imortallity distracts us from real threats to our liberty such as Obummer Care and the upcoming attempt to amnesty illegal aliens.

My dad heard or saw something this morning that prompted him do drive over to tell me the Hilary is poised to sign us on to the UN Gun Ban Treaty in the next few weeks. So I would have to say at this point these bills that are supposedly going somewhere for gun registration blah, blah, blah are not going to come back. The progressives are going to go the route of the UN treaty. It's easier got them to push this then something domestically because they can use the global pressure against the push from the American people to drop it. Plus there is more power in the UN treaty to completely destroy the 2nd Amendment then any regulating bill they could write in congress.
