Quote
you should be on your knees every day of your life thanking God that there were some men - SOME MEN - who held a job. And they required a dedication to purpose, a love of country and a dedication to duty that was more important than life itself. And their self sacrifice is what made this country f***ing possible.....

Countless people have forgotten that..... and this is why we are on the precipice of implosion. Stop "weeping for our country". Get up on your feet and stop the systematic dismantling of our great nation before it is too late.

Your request.....

Sen. Metzenbaum to Sen. Glenn: "How can you run for Senate when you have never held a real job?"

Sen. Glenn: "I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by antiaircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the space program. It wasn't my checkbook; it was my life on the line. It was not a nine to five job where I took time off to take the daily cash receipts to the bank.

I ask you to go with me....as I went the other day to a Veterans hospital and look at those men with their mangled bodies in the eye and tell them they didn't hold a job. You go with me to the space program and go as I have gone to the widows and orphans of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee and you look those kids in the eye and tell them that their dad didn't hold a job.

You go with me on Memorial Day, coming up, and you stand in Arlington National Cemetery, where I have more friends than I'd like to remember and you watch those waving flags. You stand there, and you think about this nation, and you tell me that those people didn't have a job, I'll tell you, Howard Metzenbaum, you should be on your knees every day of your life thanking God that there were some men - SOME MEN - who held a job. And they required a dedication to purpose, a love of country and a dedication to duty that was more important than life itself. And their self sacrifice is what made this country possible..... I HAVE HELD A JOB, HOWARD! What about you?"

HAZARITAS

6oz of frozen Lime Aid concentrate.  Do not mix … just take the 6oz. and dump it in a blender

6oz. of your favorite tequila

6oz. of beer (pilsners or “light” beers work best)

3oz. of really cheap white wine (if real sweet wine use a little less).

Add ice and blend NOTE: I hold back the beer, blend then add the beer and just 'pulse' a few times to mix.  This keeps the foam down. (Taste great “on the rocks”.  However, keep in mind that they are a little more powerful given the lack of blended ice)

DO NOT handle firearms, fly airplanes or operate machinery heavier than your blender.  To that, after three pitchers I sincerely recommend that you don't operate anything that runs on electricity. After five pitchers, you will be functionally illiterate.
DO NOT make any attempt to sing or dance because you will look pathetically stupid doing such.
DO NOT call me for bail money.

Anything else ya need, Solus?? ;)  ;D

When I was interviewing for a job at GM I only had the army as my job history. This b*tch asked me if I ever had a REAL job. I  told her it was a real job and I wanted to give her an earful but I shut up and got the job.

Thanks Shooter. I needed to see that today. Brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye.

I've been a fireman for 20 years now; the last five I've been serving in the prevention division. A few months back when the budget started heading south, mostly since dumb ass Californian voters never met an entitlement they didn't like and now we're paying for it, I put in for a voluntary transfer to the operations division to save the job an older inspector in a less senior position than mine. Well, those bastards in HR and my boss took that as a voluntary request to be laid off. I got my papers yesterday. I'm still going to operations but somehow those twisted politicians and bureaucrats figured they could now eliminate the job I hold now that wasn't under the gun. Those idiots have never held a "real" job in my opinion. There are those that run towards the fire and those that run from it,. God Bless our Marines, Army, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard. They run towards the fire so we don't have to. Now, we need to run towards the fire here at home from now 'till November and beyond to get those clueless idiots out of office.
