I had the same experience as MB's friend had with his kids and the Best Defense. My kids ages 10-14 really enjoy The Best Defense which is a little surprising to me because once I turn on the Outdoor Channel they usually leave the room pretty quickly out of boredom. It really made a positive impact on them. One example is that my wife and I always had trouble with them opening the front door with out checking when a visitor arrived. The episode where Rob got beat with the hammer by the stranger at the door finally made them understand. I was a little concerned at first the reenactments might freak them out but seeing the proper response makes the difference. They also really got a kick out of shooting the books and refrigerators as well. :)
