For the enjoyment of golf and watching top pros - Yes, I am super excited;
For the media circus it creates - No, Tiger's private life has turned every media outlet into a tabloid by its worst definition;
For the sports world and Tiger and his family - I'm for it, because at some point life needs to move forward, and healing nothing can continue until he tries to resume a "normal" life pattern. Beyond that, he is, at the time of stepping back, the best golfer in the world today and possibly ever.
Enough of this crap! I'm just looking forward to following his scores and checking into some coverage at some point this weekend.

You should change your tune. From all indications he likes blondes.
and brunettes and redheads and bald chicks, and,...........................

Personally I could care less. Golf is what he does for a living. The media circus surrounding his personal life is what is completely over the top. I feel terrible for his family. Sure Tiger deserves the heat. But you are talking about a personal family matter. Is there no consideration given to the fact that his family has to hear about this 24-7 just because of who he is.
While I don't feel bad for him. My heart goes out to his wife, and kids. Coming from experience, it's devastating to find out that your partner has cheated on you. I couldn't even imagine how much more embarrassed and hurt I would be if the whole world knew about it too.
I say leave it alone. For the sake of his family. Think about his wife. Wounds don't heal when you keep picking at the scab.
Just my .02

Don't really care one way or the other 'bout Tigers personal issues.
As to the game of golf, the game (though I don't play much anymore) my daddy taught me to play at a very young age, one that I used to love to play (poorly), I say sure!
The game survives by the quality of it's players and as already mentioned, there ain't no one better than Tiger lately and he's just a kid. Regardless of where he swings his shaft at night, he's pushing the leaderboard after 5 months of turmoil.
Kid's got some talent on the course. Off the course, he's an idiot! Don't ever think athletes are the brightest bulbs in the rack, just some of the wealthiest. In a year, no one will care.

Glad he's back on the course. Could care less about his personal life. Our company has done work on his yacht(s), he's a private guy.
I just like to see him play.
I did hear Trojan will take him as a sponsor, "When strokes count, wear two, in case you get a hole in one"
Little early for the corner, but I brought these great Buffalo Wings...

The media and their followers are another one of the great problems with this country. Media doesn't report the news anymore and the followers pay attention to the stupid crap they publicize. It is great that Tiger can play golf and play it well. Same with all of the professional athelets and entertainers but NO-ONE should care what they do personally let alone make headlines on National Nightly News. (every night since last November) Sad that Main Stream Media.. even tributary media (haha) has to be the new Tabloid that you use to find at your grocery store checkout isle.

Hate golf..... Mostly Don't care about sports that don't involve guns or German Shepherds.... Don't care that yet another rich & famous knucklehead cheated on his wife (Can you name me 10 who haven't?). Don't care at all whether he returns to golf. Sick of hearing it....
............And That Episode of South Park was Hilarious. ;D

Woods needs to admit he wants to be a player and join the swinging single lifestyle.

I liked the airplanes that flew over on Day #1 of the Masters. Especially the second: "Sex Addict? Yeah right! So am I!!"

Might be wrong, but I believe it was Col. Jeff Cooper, that said a golf course was a perfectly good waste of a rifle range.

Much like others, I'm tired of hearing about him and his stupid antics. I don't understand why guys like him get married. A cheater knows he's going to cheat. Especially someone who has women swooning over him everywhere he goes. If you're an alcoholic you don't go to bars. If you're a dog, stay single.
This guy was one of the few of his race in sports who had a super clean image that he sold for millions. A beautiful wife that most guys would kill for, who seemed really nice. Now he managed to screw that all up, and make his poor wife feel like dirt in the process. I've never understood that about men. If you have the Cadillac, why would you want to test drive the Chevy? I guess with him it didn't matter, just as long as he could "drive". And I don't mean with a golf club.
If I was his wife I would drop that piece of crap in a New York second. Why she would want to put herself through all that is beyond me? She doesn't need him, his money, and all of the crap that now surrounds him. It seems she is staying as far away from him as possible. Smart girl. Bill T.

I watched some this weekend, and I saw Tiger finish and Phil win. Tiger handled himself well even if it wasn't up to the scribes' expectations, but he was Tiger, he was an excellent golfer, and he did better than I expected given what he has put himself through. The ending interview was done well by both the interviewer and Tiger.
Congrats Phil! A class act who earned the honor and needed it for what he and his family has been through.

Just another corporate media event to keep us distracted while corporations take over our lives. If they can't do a hole in one, why waste all day putting around?
