*About 5% in gifts to charity (about 1% in gifts to charity for Biden). Two bleeding heart liberals that dont seem to be too big on charity themselves, but want to turn our Govt into the largest charity on earth. Redistribute your own wealth first!
**Ummmm what percent is it again that one is supposed to tithe? ;)
-
The hypocrisy of 'Liberal politicians'..... don't tell me you expected anything different.......
"Remember, subjects, drink the kool-aid and just do what we tell you to do...it's all for the good of the people, but not for us."
-
liberals or progressives or whatever the heck they want to be called should HAVE TO pay twice as much taxes as everyone else!!!! >:(
-
Geez....I gave about 2% to charity on my income WITHOUT getting a reciept from the bags my wife drops off at the local Salvation Army! If I add those as well, it might add another 1%...
The hypocrisy of these people IS alarming!
-
if you add my time in that I gave to charitys last year my total would be about 40% of my gross.
The poor always give more then the rich.
-
Charity is given by those who feel a PERSONAL responsibility to help the less fortunate. The difference between charity and welfare, is that charity is usually a hand up, where as welfare is always a hand out. Because most on the left have no real world marketable skills to pass on to someone, nor the inclination to teach someone anything, (that requires effort) they almost always opt for the hand out.
-
I donated to 3 non profits.
1. A local wrestling club that I coach at. ( giving back what I was given)
2. a local judo club I'm a member of( remodeled the dojo for free)
3. A local homeless teen shelter. Over the last 5 years I've donated about 200k to then in goods/ labor.
All of those are very well run non profits, They better the local comunity.

And he was so good at that, that he got to be president...........
-
But he gave his Nobel Peace Prize money to charity,... :-\
You can put a bum in a fancy suit, and he's still a bum...

Good Work, TAB.
Charity should be handled at the local level. You will get twice the benefit from the money spent over what you get going through the government bureaucracy
-
I agree with Solus and , oddly enough, TAB.
Charity should be handled locally, it should be the community helping one of it's own.
I will add that being a Bullsh$t artist seems to pay pretty darn well.

Supposedly it was mostly from book sales.
I'm still amazed/sickened at the fact that you simply cannot turn around anymore without something Obummer or his wife staring you in the face. OK he was the first Black President, I get that and I'm happy for him in that regard, but please, do I HAVE to see his face on every magazine cover, every week? Is it just me or is there more pictures of him and his family in print and on the TV then any other President in history?
As I've noted before the Chair Farce Exchange at Andrews has what amounts to a shrine set up in the lobby. I never saw W plates and apparel, or bronze statues. You hardly see that for Washington or Lincoln.

And should he not be stripped of all those procedes ??? Isnt it illegal for a sitting president to personally profit from it?
-
But, but, but..... He's a community organizer. instigator. ::)
Corrected for accuracy.

Just an average hard working Joe. A typical under appreciated and under paid educator. A servant of the people just being minimally compensated for his time and added expenses.
$5.5 million ???
And, he claims to understand the plight of the average American >:(

He might not understand the plight, but he understands 'the masses' very well...like an angler understands a trout.
