Happy birthday bud, have a good one.

OK, the images posted are really creeping me out.
But have a happy birthday, "Mate" (meant in a real manly, not at all homo way).
According to my Australian-American translation encyclopedia, for your birthday, you should have a can of Fosters or two, "chunder" (no translation available, probably having something to do with your "mate"), then drink something really good.
You Aussies do have some really weird customs, I must say.
;D
-
I have to agree with Pathfinder, I wish you a happy birthday, but those pictures make me afraid to go to sleep ;D
As to Path's question about "chunder" the Men at Work song "Land Down under" has a line about "Where women glow, and men chunder"
I really hope that's not like "Where men are men and sheep are nervous" ;D

LOL firstly no one in oz drinks Fosters, they send thats stuff OS because we refuse to drink it ewwwwww horrible stuff.
Chunder is a slang way of saying barfing, driving the porcelain steering wheel or vomiting. A good spit usually clears the cobwebs after a heavy night on the turps. (spit is another word for vomit - we have lots)
-
Happy Birthday Phil
VB is a good choice, to bad you guys keep it all down there and send us the piss (Fosters). >:(

I once had a Kiwi friend of mine tell me that "American beer is like making love in a canoe, It's f%^king close to water."
Of course you need the accent for full effect. ;D
-
Woops, sorry, I forgot that you are ahead of us or I would have been the first to wish you a Happy Birthday! Party Hardy, I mean Phil!

I was being funny, Sledge . . .
I remember the thread re' Fosters = ewwww horrible stuff. That's why, drink Fosters, then chunder, then drink good stuff. Yes, I did learn the chunder part from the Men at Work song "Land Down Under".
I'm still afraid to go to sleep from the images tho . . . . :o :o ;) ::)
And I stand by my "you guys have really weird customs" comment tho.
;D

You need to post the "Super Phil" pic again,,,,,,,
Happy Birthday Phil!!!!!

thank you very much for the birthday wishes,
unfortunately the range I am a member is closed at the moment due to maintenance at the moment, so no trip to the range.
good friends are getting married today so..... yep will be having a few beers :D
FYI VB & Fosters not good, Coopers, Cascade or Extra Dry are good beers also if anyone ever offered you a beer called XXXX do not drink it is normally will be offered by a Queenslander and it is as bad as Fosters, however Queenslander's do not have any taste as our PM KRudd is a Queenslander
now to one of my Fav. songs ( next to i-like-guns)
the line is Where women glow and men plunder?
I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
once again thank you all
PS Rob.... you did not need to post that Pic everywhere
-
Late to the party, but Happy B-Day, Phil. ;D
-
I agree about the Fosters....
I tried some a few years ago and it tasted so bad, I sent a vial of it to a friend of mine who works for a chemical analysis firm asking him what he thought.
A day or two later, I got a phone cal from him and he said.... Vince, I have bad news for you. Your horse is diabetic.
-
Happy birthday. Hope you have many more...we sure enjoy your banter here.
