FL Congressman will also do:
-
He needs to be the one to tell Nancy Pelosi: "Give Me That Damn Gavel!"
I'm in the 19th District,....but with more like West, we can only hope for that "gavel" to end up in better hands....
NO INCUMBENTS!!!!VOTE HE BUMS OUT!!!

Gotta say Eric, I like your post. I helped run against Alcee Hastings in the 23rd. I wish I had an opportunity to give this guy my vote, but he just got $50 of my money. Ron Klein is a nice guy (though he votes wrong), but its time to vote all the bums out to send a message. I don't care about your party or ideology. I don't think a clearer message could be sent to DC than if a majority of incumbents of both parties were sent home. It would let them know we are sick of the status quo. Change it or go home. Even if you know and like your rep, even if you hate the opponent, vote for the challenger. What the next Congress may do in two years pales in comparison to the shock and awe value of having the majority of incumbents voted out. We may get some bad laws, but hell, we've got plenty of those already. What we would get, and don't have, is a thoroughly chastened Congress who realizes that it will be their heads on the block next. The great thing about this is that its non-partisans. Liberals and conservatives, Dems and GOPers agree the system is broken. So vote for change. It may be a bad change in the short term, but in the long run, having a "night of the long knives" in Congress will stand the country in good stead. Just my $.02.

I have my concerns....not that I am against throwing the bums out, just that I wonder how effective it will be.
It is treating the symptom and not the disease.
Term limits, the same thing. We have in place what should be the best Term Limit mechanism....You have to be re-elected at the end of each term by The People.
And now we are getting close to the cause of the problem...the disease. The People are electing those who do the most for them, those who give them the most, those who take care of them.....not the ones who will do best for the country.
I believe one of the Founding Fathers made the statement that our form of government would survive until The People found they could vote themselves payments takes from the public.
Tom Bogan posted some time ago that this is the though problem that needs to be resolved and he is correct and got me considering that fact.
Some how we need to ensure that laws adhere to The Constitution before any other consideration.
We need to teach The People that we are NOT a Democracy, that elected official should NOT do what The People say if it is not Constitutional. We need to either find a way to protect our country when the majority of The People vote as fools and we need to find a way to get more of The People to understand the foundations of The Constitution and this Nation.
As Tom Bogan pointed out, that will not be a painless undertaking.

I want to agree with you, but I can't help but remember what happened the last time you decided to "vote for change".
