Here's the deal. Some buddies and I are taking the Maah Dey Hey trail this summer (it's a multi use trail that runs about 120 miles in the western half No Dak). I have a 5.11 24 Rush pack to haul gear. I'm wanting something that will keep it secure to the pack as we go up and down the buttes. So does any company make an IPOD pouch?

pistol mag pouches are a pretty good fit
-
Doesn't the pack have a separate iPod pouch already built in?
DR - WTF? ? ? ? You're hiking the Maah Dey Hey and you're going to plug into an iPod while you walk? ? ? Seriously? Well, hopefully you can hear your companions yelling about the mountain lion behind you over Outkast or Liza Minelli or whatever you're listening to.
;D

Nope biking it. I'm trying to convince one buddy he NEEDS to get his concealed permit rather than just open carry but I have never been able to tell him anything. I can hear over Liza duh ;D The Nano has a video camera function it would be kinda cool to take some video if I can figure out how to post it to the web

TADgear probably has several. Countycomm has a couple that would work for $10 or less. They have a couple that work really well on pack straps.

Have you tried the apple store?
http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_ipod/ipod_accessories/cases?n=ipodnano5&mco=MTM3NTA3OTM&s=topSellers
Those are the cases for nano's. It is a good place to at least shop since they post ever manufacture on the site then you can shop around and see if you can find it cheaper somewhere else or order it from them.

Pelican makes cases for the iPod stuff in their micro line.

Nano 3rd or 4th? (square or rectangle)
R_W is correct

iComm Pouch
or the smaller

BC4
I'd also recommend Otterbox
http://www.otterbox.com/ipod-cases/ipod-nano/
They run promos at the local hockey game where an Iphone survives a slapshot in their case.

Dakota
Tell me a bit about this trail. The old man wants to put off the grand hurrah for a year and just go out West. We've never spent time in the Dakotas (other than me going through Sturgis during the Rally once and no power on this earth.... ;D :-[). What's the deal?
FQ13 who wasn't there, it was just some guy who looked like me and if I was there I was drunk, and her? Never seen her before. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Maah Daah Hey Trai http://www.mdhta.com/ http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=maah+daah+hey+trail&aq=1

It runs between the North and South Unit of Teddy Roosevelt National Park (About 120 miles apart) The trail goes through the ND Badlands and the Painted Hills. This was one of my goals after my surgery, so it's kind of a celebration.
We should wind up in Medora, ND in three days http://www.medora.org/
that TADgear looks like they have some really cool gear and I think those pouches maybe what I'm looking for.

TAD has a LOT of cool gear. Way more cool stuff than I have paycheck for. :'(
