I finally got out to the range this morning with my FNH FNP 9 USG. I followed the directions by cleaning it first & applying the MILITEC-1 right before I shot it. I added a little touch here & there when it was warm enough to activate the MILITEC-1. The first magazine had one jam (American Eagle 115 gr FMJ) & the slide didn't lock back after the last round. I blame this on the extra lubricant because it didn't happen again once the gun was warm & the excess MILITEC-1 was wiped off. We shot 300 rounds (50 American Eagle 115 gr FMJ & 250 Federal Champion 115 gr FMJ RN) with only the two malfunctions on the first magazine I shot.
The double action trigger is better than I expected it to be & doesn't seem like I have to pull it a mile like my S & W 442. The single action trigger is very crisp & I didn't feel any creep but then again I'm no expert & never claim to be. We were shooting at 15 yards & everything went where I aimed it. I'm not the greatest marksman but after the first couple magazines through it I could tell that it was capable of having great out of the box accuracy in the right hands. The ejected brass all landed in a nice pile next to my feet & for some reason down the front my lady's shirt when she was shooting it. I brought both supplied back straps with me & started off with the arched & switched to flat after a hundred rounds or so. The difference was so slight in my opinion that I probably couldn't tell the difference if blind folded. The three supplied magazines all functioned flawlessly after the first mishap that I already mentioned. When I got home I cleaned it with Strike Hold & lightly oiled it with MILITEC-1 & wanted to go get it dirty again! I love it & would suggest one to anyone in the market for a 9mm. If I was forced to change something I would have the magazine release stick out just a hair more. I took Timothy's advice, wraped the pistol in a plastic bag, stuck it in the Galco holster over night & it worked great without having to take a chance with soaking it in water or alcohol. I'll include some pics of my special lady friend shooting it & getting to know her ejected brass.

STYLISH VS. PRACTICAL?
Both! I think it's a great looking weapon & very practical for my needs as a range/dog walking gun.
Obligitory: I wouldnt kick her out of bed for carrying an FN ;D
She still likes my Colt Commander better!

Thanks for the report, tekoken!

I have really felt comfortable with my FN9, and have had no issues. Unlike my Kel-Tec or Walther, IMHO, the FN can just have light lube and go performance.
Plus, after 200 rds. the trigger and mag release felt even smoother.
Thank you for the pics., and thank you to your ladyfriend for being so photogenic... 8)

Well after a week of carry with the Galco I'm very pleased & would recommend one for anyone in the market for some good gun leather. I ordered the matching double magazine carrier today & I'm sure I will like it also.

I say do it!! If it shoots like the 9mm it's gotta be a hell of a pistol.

Well I finally received my Galco "DMC" Double Mag Carrier today. I like it so far but I've only had it for a few hours. The holster is working out great, I love it & will not hesitate to purchase any Galco product! The MILITEC-1 seems to be working great as a "dry & constant lubricant" but I followed the application instructions precisely. I sent them an email militec@militec1.com to ask about the grease & a few days later I received a free 1/2 ounce sample of the grease & the lubricant in the mail. I love a company that is confident enough to give their product away because they know you'll be back to buy some in the long run! I asked Gun Butter if they do anything like that & they said yes....for $8.95 plus $8.00 shipping!!!!

Nice stuff. Tip: orient those spare mags the same direction, you want the same grip and position when pulling the mag out for a reload.

Great looking, I like those FNs also in that color. ;)
