In a way I detest airline miles.  It is a reminder of how much I do fly, and the last thing I want to do for a vacation is fly somewhere.  :)

Same here.  Most of my flying is on the long grueling international flights.  India, China, Brazil, Italy.  You know you spend too much time on airplanes when you get off a 4 hour trip to the West Coast and say "geez, felt like we just got on".  Then again, after 23 hours to get to India, anything feels short.

Which is why I'm glad most of my travel is done by car.  Usually my flying for work involves flights of 2 hours or less.  Of course, with connections, layovers, time spent at the airport on both ends, it usually takes all day to get...I'll just drive, thanks.  I do like accruing hotel points, though, 'cause I can use them to get guns!   ;D

Score! I thought I was bad with the absurd Steve Lee references. Phil has created a monster. I hope we continue the tradition! Sorry Eric.
