Title: Gun Free Airports - Lautenberg at it again.
Post by: alfsauve on May 14, 2010, 06:50:33 AM
ATTENTION TERRORISTS.......It will soon be against the law for you to bring weapons on any airport property.   So please cancel any plans you have to terrorize airports or airplanes.   You wouldn't want to break the law.

Ah you know you live in the right state when your state's legislation is causing heartburn in DC.

Sen. Lautenberg is introducing legislation that will ban all firearms on airport property.  Read his press release

Then read the AP story.   I like the part about posting "Gun Free Zone' signs in order to stop terrorists.

Are these bastards TRYING to piss me off, or is that just gravy for them?!?  (TRANSLATION:  I feel a rant coming on)

I am sick to death of these know-nothing, do-nothing, namby-pamby, gun-grabbing, head-up-their-ass pieces of shit trampling on the Constitution just so they can say they "did something" to make Americans, safer, fight terrorism, insert-your-cause-du-jour-here.

What part of "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" is so goddamned hard to understand?!?!?

Don't knock it TT. Think of all the money and hassel we could save. Arriving at the gate ten minutes early for a domestic flight, carrying a pair of nail clippers, drinking a mug of real coffee and not having to go through a cavity search? All back again, just by posting a "terrorism free zone sign". Hell, it shouldn't cost more than fifty bucks per airport if you buy them in bulk. Why didn't we think of this?
FQ13 who has given up on wondering what goes through the heads of folks who think passing a law that says "don't break the law" will accomplish anything. I no longer care. Ask Phil, I'm sure he'll tell you.
