God created man, Samuel Colt made them equal:
http://www.examiner.com/x-18149-SelfDefense-Examiner~y2010m5d16-Wheelchairbound-exMarine-fends-off-3-home-invaders
A wheelchair-bound former US Marine reportedly used his handgun to fend off a trio of early-morning home invaders.
Police say that the ex-Marine, who is confined to a wheelchair, was in his secluded West Pike Run Township, PA home at 2am when his dog began to bark. Moments later, three home invaders reportedly rushed into the house from different directions, prompting the homeowner to grab his .45 caliber pistol and fire in self defense. Upon being fired at, all three home invaders are said to have fled, leaving the former Marine unharmed. Police are reportedly seeking the three suspects responsible for this crime.
Criminals often see the disabled as easy targets, and use their physical strength to overpower these more vulnerable members of society. Without a gun, few disabled individuals are able to defend themselves against a single younger and stronger attacker. The situation is even more bleak when such a victim faces multiple attackers.
However, when disabled individuals are armed with a gun, they are in the best position possible to defend themselves. Here, this disabled ex-Marine used his pistol to fend off three intruders who rushed into his home during the early morning hours. Similarly, this disabled veteran used his gun to chase off a pair of burglars who were ransacking his house. As another example, this disabled veteran used his gun to scare off an intruder who was threatening his life. Similarly, this disabled senior citizen used his gun to to fend off an intruder, while this wheelchair-bound man used his gun to defend himself against a pair of home invading criminals. Armed self defense works - especially when the crime victim is disabled. Gun bans, on the other hand, simply leave the disabled at the mercy of violent, gun-ban-ignoring criminals.

A Marine AND an armed citizen, the wrong house was definitely picked in this incident. I am very glad to hear he was unharmed, but surely this was a traumatic event which will impact his life. No doubt that a Marine can handle this like they can handle any other type of adversity.

One GLARING error in that story. Ain't no such thing as a "FORMER Marine".

I wondered who'd be the first to say that. ;D

Dont get too excited... He didnt even hit any of them. The Marine corp just aint what it used to be. I guess they are only requiring MOST marines to be shooters now ;D

Good for him. I wish he would of nailed all three. Attacking disabled people, takes true cowards to do that.

If I were confined to a wheelchair, it would in fact be a rolling arsenal. So many guns and knives would be affixed to it "The Scooter Store" would have to provide a larger horsepower motor to move the damn thing! Being it would be electrically powered anyway, I'm sure Dillon could rig a 134 Mini Gun to it somehow. It would just have to be loaded with frangible ammo. Bill T.

Why am I picturing a mini-tank here, with Bill T in a 360 swivel turret like on the old B-29s? Or maybe a two legged At-At out of "The Empire Strikes Back", complete with laser cannon.? ;D
