Gun Term Of The Day- clip: Technically, a clip is any type of cartridge-holding device used to load magazines (either fixed or detachable). Common usage however frequently (and incorrectly) interchanges the term 'clip' with 'magazine'. The first successful cartridge clip was invented by Austrian engineer Ferdinand von Mannlicher. Also known as a 'stripper clip' in military jargon, and as a 'charger' in England.

So...clips feed bullets into magazines, magazines feed bullets into guns, and guns feed bullets into various stuff?

Feeding bullets into a magazine or a gun doesn't do you much good...there's no "bang juice" in a bullet.
But I guess that would set up another "Gun Term of the Day"
