Ohio now has added North Dakota and Nebraska to the list of 29 states that Ohio's Concealed Handgun Permit is now recognized. Of course no one actually goes to N. Dakota or Nebraska but hey, at least he's moving us toward that magic number (50). Now if only this guy would get PA in line so I don't have to carry 2 permits to travel 20 miles.

Y'all need to have the same criteria as FL for reciprocity....
"If you honor ours, we'll honor yours'. ;D

Ohio has been surprising in the past few years with it's support of CCW, the 2A and personal defense.
A flawed CCW law has been improved and continues to be improved.
A Castle Doctrine law has passed.
State Preemption of local gun laws has passed but is being fought by Cleveland and other municipalities but most are obeying the Ohio Supreme Court and the Law.
The DA of a county were I used to live so strongly supports the right to self defense he has ruled as self defense when store owners have shot robbers even when they were trying to run from the store. He made the statement "You give up your right not to be shot when you go into a business armed to rob it".
And just this week, I found a note from the Police Dept. in my utility bill. It was a schedule of classes they offered to meet the state requirements for CCW application and refersher course for renewal and other courses in self defense including a course for women.
It's still a struggle, but I like what I have been seeing.

I'm really glad to hear that the local PD is actively supporting it.

Completely agree. I spend a lot of time in Ohio for my job, and as far as I've been able to determine, Ohio doesn't have a non-resident permit.

Can you go third party? Get a non-resident permit that PA and Oh both honor?

Be sure that is actually the case, some states do NOT recognize NON resident permits from other states.

I don't need to worry about PA, that's covered. I think VA and FL both have non-resident permits that OH honors. It's a big pain.

I have my Ohio permit that covers me in Ohio and West Virginia (Where I spend much of my time) and now I have a non-resident PA permit. It would just be nice to only have to keep track of one permit to cover my area. The Ohio Valley is generally considered to include OH, WV and parts of PA. And FQ, no Ohio does not have a non-resident.
