Post by: twyacht on June 06, 2010, 06:17:04 PM
History Channel collaboration, about what happened 66 years ago today, and the men who fulfilled one of the toughest duties ever. And the precursor from Eisenhower, and yes GOD was referenced, they were the "Greatest Generation."

THEY are the soldiers, they are the Fathers, Sons, Brothers, and Husbands that did the "unbelievable" and played a decisive role in ending WWII.

An old man flew from the US to Paris recently, and was asked for a passport at the airport. He kindly replied "I didn't need one last time I was here."

The French Customs Official replied "Everyone must have a passport to enter France."

To which the "Old man" replied:

There were NONE checking passports on Omaha Beach in June of 1944..
