I love Winchester Virginia (birth place of Patsy Cline). We used to go to (and I kid you not) to Brill's Barber Shop, which had a huge finished basement and had darn good bluegrass every Wednesday night. Cokes were a dollar, N/A beer $2 and completely racist Aunt Jemimah style tobbaco posters were on the walls. Still, it was about the best blue grass I've heard, and I've been to Mingo County W. Va. and Hazard in Kentucky. About an hour drive from DC, but worth it. The fact that they have shooting matches using black powder mortars does not surprise me. ;D It amuses the hell out of me and makes me ask where I can sign up, but it does not surprise me. ;)
