How is it in other areas of the country where you live? About 3 or 4 months back they were getting it in quite regularly, then for some reason it dried up. Shortly there after they started getting in RWS 9 MM FMJ, but it was in the $14.00 range, so naturally I took a pass. I figured the Federal stuff was gone forever at $9.47 a box.
Then, starting a week or so ago they started getting it in on a regular basis. Melanie goes shopping there for groceries a couple of times a week and always checks to see if they have any. If they do she'll buy 6 boxes, (the daily limit per person). When she gets home and tells me, I'll jump in my truck and get 6 more. I'm stockpiling as much as possible because I've got a feeling this price isn't going to last. To be honest, I'm surprised it has lasted this long. They could easily sell it for $11.00 a box or higher. Federal is a good name, and their brass holds up quite well to reloading. Bill T.

The drought is over in my neck of the woods, and has been for several months now. Mega Lo Mart has gobbs of all the mainstream calibers (except .380)... Gun stores have an overflowing supply of EVERYTHING and I saw about 100 boxes of roundball .380 the other day for $20 per (they had a great selection of HPs too).

My wally world has Federal 9mm 250rd bulk packs for $42.97. I bought a couple today. They are stocked up on everything but .380 (some fmj) and .45 acp.

That's a great price! It comes to $8.59 a box. Bill T.

Cabela's called me today wanting to substitute a 500 rd Magtech .380 order for S&B.
I've been waiting 9 months so another 5 or 6 won't matter. I said no although I've had OK luck with S&B in 9mm and .38 sp.

I know, they had at least 3 more so I might go back tomorrow. they were limiting them to 2 per person but that depends on who's working there at the time. I went in a few months ago before a tactical rifle class and bought a case of the 100rd bulk pack 5.56. I just wish they'd get some .45 in all they have is federal premium for 26.97 for 50. Their 7.62X39 is so cheap I almost think I should go by an AK.

To "come out of the closet", though not in Path's sense of the word, but rather as a "hoarder", er...umm...realist, the solution is simple. Buy two and put them in your car. Return and pick a different cashier (as though they really care). Repeat as necessary. ;)

I did that in the heat of things when people were fighting over ammo. I even changed shirts and put on or took off hats. Most of the clerks could care less but there's one grumpy old man who works the counter back in sporting goods who is 100% by the book and I believe its his book. I'm pretty well stocked up on everything now but you can never have too much, especially at those prices... ;D

Just came across this in an E-Mail. Not too bad, but still not as cheap as Wal-Mart. No tax but you'll eat the shipping. Bill T.

What I'm finding unusual is back when you could buy 9 MM at Wal-Mart for $7.97 a box, you could also get CCI Blazer Brass in .45 ACP for just $9.95 a box. Around 20% more. Now the 9 MM is $9.97 a Box, but the .45 ACP is at or around $20.00 a box or close to double. An 80% difference doesn't make sense. Especially in such a short time. Bill T.

i couldn't agree more, .45 prices have remained horrible while almost everything else has leveled off. A range day with .45's used to cost me maybe $10 more total and now it's closer to $50. I guess I'm going to have to either shoot my 9's a lot more or start reloading.

I braved the Walmartians today and saw the Federal 9mm you found. Noticed the shelf label said 'Federal Blazer Brass 9mm' and they had labels for .45 @ 14 or 15.97
No bulk Fed, but there were 250 bullk boxes of UMC .40 for $49 or so, .45 for 84.97

By me they have it with no limits too!
