Quaker,
Please have your friend pickup a copy of Florida Firearms Law by Jon Guttmacher. In addition to firearms, he discusses knives too.

I intend to be there. As far as my friend, well, when he was young and stupid, he was very young and very, very stupid. ;D  I'll give a range report on the show, but don't expect much. The last few were nothing to write home about.

The prices were higher than the Ft. Laud show but there were more vendors, and I did find 7.65 x 54 Mauser rounds the last time I went.

I'm going to the next one. Hopefully, we can meet, chew the fat, and get you and a nice "assisted" opening knife.....

and of course,....more ammo...(although, online ammo has been really sweet lately.)

Sounds good, I'll buy you a beer. Actually, my friend's story is kind of funny, with the benefit of hindsight. He broke into a car in high school to steal a Nikkon camera that was on the front seat to pay for prom. Stupid, but that was just him. However, there was also an ounce of weed in the glove box as well. He took that too. Turns out, the cops were coming out of (and I sh!t you not), the Dunkin Donuts across the street. They popped him for the B@E AND possesion with intent to to distribute. ;D >:( He pled out on the B@E and got off with probation, but still has the felony so he is a "gun free zone". It sucks, as doing one stupid thing when you are 17 shouldn't haunt you your whole life, but it is kind of funny about the "intent to distribute" part.
