They look like such obedient girls don't they? Actually I'm holding a scooby snack with the camera! ;D
First, my baby - Torry, registered Australian Shepherd and the smartest dog in the world (see below)

Intelligence proof -

;D
And my moose, er, Old English Sheepdog, one big (100+ pounds), dumb puppy with a heart almost as big as she is, Cheyenne

PS: Notice the stick on her front leg? She can stand in the doorway and sticks will run across the yard to jump on her. Torry, OTOH can look like a ball of mud and in 30 minutes is clean as a whistle. Gotta love that all-weather coat!
This is Bodhi

Weird Science Dog
I'd post in this thread but I'm afraid of getting chased up a tree. ;D

Obviously, my buddy isn't on the forum now, so in his behalf (and all the rest of us guys), "We'd sure like to have seen a post of your skiing poodle!" Mac, et al.Hey! There's younger folk on this forum sometimes...you can't be showin' them no poodles! (Skiing or not!)
Josie, like me, is no doubt IRISH. I look the same way on St. Paddy's Day. Mac.
Between the two terriers we no longer have mice, voles, bunnies (and I think a cat or two) on our property.
This is our girl Gen when she was about 6 months old.
Gen was a purebred golden retriever who had the sweetest spirit of any creature I have ever known. She came to live with us when she was 8 weeks old, and for the next 13+ years never left my side. She confined to her indoor kennel the morning of my first heart attack, and damn near destroyed the thing trying to get out. When the first LEO came through the door she knew that old dad was being taken care of, so she laid down and cried softly.
When I was sick she'd lay right beside my bed or sofa, and keep an eye on me all the time. If I fell asleep and started snoring she'd nudge me until I woke up. I guess she thought that meant there was a problem. She used to sit looking out the dining room window about the time of day when she knew I'd be returning from work, and then met me at the door with a huge puppy-smile and wagging her tail with at a pace that could have knocked over a small child.
She was 90 pounds of gentle, loving dog, and I miss her terribly. Sometime during the night of September 30th, 2008 she apparently had a stroke, because it was VERY obvious in the morning that there was a huge problem. My wife and I held her in our arms as the vet gave her the injection, and this big, tough 50-something year old man cried like a baby. Even writing this I'm tearing up.
This little girl gave her us her love, and our lives are richer because she was a part of them.
turns out I can be a real 'softy' when it comes to dogs and kids.
They can get away with anything.

Run Haz.. RUN!!!
Great pics of everyone's dogs!!! My wife and I have been dog-less for almost two years now. We have always had Labs and enjoyed them. And we'll be empty nesters in the spring (YES). ;D
We are thinking about two breeds. Australian Shepherds and Border Collies. From what I've read they are very much alike.
Anyone with any thoughts about the two breeds, good and bad I would like to hear all I can.
Lord almighty he is pretty.. Does he sleep with the bear? LOL

The one with the mouth is our new puppy , she is a boxer/pit mix, the black one is a chow/lab mix, the little one is a mini hotdog, and the shepard mix is sassy who we lost a year or so back.
This is our boy Atticuss A.K.A. "Gommer" with my dad. He is the smartest and at the same time the dumbest Lab on the face of the earth.
I want another dog. My heart says yes, but my head says no.
Your head is wrong.
