Title: World Record Confirmed Sniper Shot (New), And It's A Brit

To paraphrase:  American Rifleman, July 2010, pg. 30

A British Sniper established a new world record for the most distant confirmed kill in combat.
Corporal Of Horse, Craig Harrison, of the House Calvary dispatched two Taliban machine gunners from a distance of:::::

2,707yds.

Using an Accuracy International AWM, L115A3, .338 Lapua Magnum. Nov. 2009.

1 1/2 mile shot in Helmand Province.

Elevation 3,400 feet.
"No Wind, Mild Weather, Clear Visibility".

It beat the Canadian Rob Furlong, at 2,657yds.  Using a McMillan Tac-50.

 :o Can we recruit this Brit, to cover some ground in AZ for us?

Sorry, I just couldn't help it. ;D Seriously, 1 1/2 MILES? Sweet lord. That is just frightening. +1 on sending him to Nogales. Screw the Green Card. Full citizenship and a two star's pay for two years service. Lets see how the cartels like this. ;D
