Guys and Gals I could use a prayer if you have one to spare! I was recently diagnosed with Graves Disease. This is not a particularly deadly illness which I'm very thankful for, but the side affects are a real pain! Especially for a shooter like myself. It has left me rather weak, tried, and with the shakes some of the time. Which of course tends to degrade my accuracy a bit. I'm still keeping most of my shots on the paper, but I haven't been getting to many one hole groups. If the Lord is with me and if all goes well, I'll be back in good health in six months or so!
Thanks,
Guns
P.S. If any of you out their have had this disease before or have personal knowledge of it I would like to here from you. So far my only source for information has been what the medical websites have to say which is fairly clinical. I've never known anyone who has suffered from this so if you can please reply or PM me so I can get some more information about it from you.

Hey Guns, prayer and good thoughts...

Barbara Bush was also diagnosed with Graves Disease, it is a hyper thyroid disorder, that is treatable. My wife had to have a thyroidectomy, for a hypothyroid. The thyroid is the thermostat of the body, too low or too high, it directly effects the metabolism.
Watch for potential weight loss, so eat well, fresh produce and meats. Lay off the processed foods, fast foods, except on occasion.
The standard medical approach is a TSH level, (Thyroid stimulating hormone),,,,,,scratch that get the labs for your Free T3 and T4 levels, done with a blood test. It is more targeted.
Radiation is the "standard" treatment, but is becoming outdated. There are many options.
My wife is a veteran nurse, Case Manager, Legal Nurse Consultant, Life Care Planner, RN, (she's got more letters behind her name) and has had her own issues with thyroid related conditions.
Prayers to you Guns. Please know prayers are coming your way, and if there is anything I can provide via PM, get copies of you lab reports. It is a very treatable condition, with the right doctor.
God Bless.
