Explosions...
Things blowing up?
-or
Things getting blown up?
I asked an interviewee this question for a programmer position. He got the job. What would you have said? I'm curious to hear the answers...
-
I don't quite get the question Bryan????
-
Maybe a trick question, but I would say things blowing up, things being blown up would be a proper application of Explosives or not as the case may be.
-
What would you have said?
"Are we still holding Richmond?"

"Are we still holding Richmond?"
ROFLMAO ;D
It's a matter of semantics, Graphically he probably wants "things exploding" ( doors blowing off, that sort of thing ), the actual mechanics of it are things (chemical compounds) exploding

How about "Trick question. Explosions are things that are cool". ;D

Neither......technically!
An explosion is nothing but expanding gases causing a shock wave and higher temperature. Nothing need be "blown up" for an explosion to occur.
Does a tree falling alone in the woods make a sound?
-
I would use all three in different applications.

Things blowing up.
Since things might blow up with out assistance, Things being blown up would not always apply.
-
Hmmm....
Moderately entertained by the responses. Things blowing up is the most popular response. Our programmer answered the same because things that blow up are typically supposed to blow up, grenades, red video game barrels and what have you, but things getting blown up could be anything...box full of puppies.
