Title: Forum set up for Tapatalk - mobile forum app (BETA)
Post by: Marshal Halloway on July 03, 2010, 12:55:19 AM
BETA TESTING

Tapatalk is a mobile forum app for iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Nokia. Depending on your brand, Tapatalk supports all the usual forum functions plus full screen image viewing, image upload, caching (less reload), private messaging, all these features are accessible in just a few simple taps.

I installed the app on my Blackberry and so far so good. I can post and reply to posts using text. Upload photos is still not a feature for the Blackberry, but iPhone owners should have that available. So if you are a mobile junkie and want to have a access to the DRTV forum, try it out.

For someone as wired into the 19th century as you, why are you inflicting this on us? I hate cell phones, fax machines and can tolerate the web only if I pretend that it doesn't involve email. I will set up a facebook account the day after I'm dead. I mean no offense, but as a wood and blue steel guy, why are you bringing this aggravation into my life?

OK, so who's the Luddite here? You accuse Marshal of being wired into the 19th Century, and then you rant like this? ? ?

Marshal, consider the source . . . .   ;)

And to answer the question, because he can, and because it brings aggravation into your life!  ;D

Path, you misunderstand.
I admire him for being a 19th century guy. Its the techno crap that complicates my life that I have issues with. Remember the days before cell phones and voicemail, email, and answering machines? When you weren't home, you weren't home, and they (the boss, the ex, the bill collector, the telemarketer) could just call back later? I'm not the president or a trauma surgeon. I don't feel the need to be available for others' convience 24/7. The 19th, or for that matter the 20th century had much to reccomend it. ;) There is nothing on Gods green earth so important that I need to be able to access it from my PDA (that I will never own, even as a condition of employment) 24/7. When I am off work, I am freaking off work, I am not your 24 hour butt monkey, unless I am wearing the uniform or being paid a whole lot more money than a teacher gets. As far as social calls? The only technological leap I approve of is caller ID. If I don't leap to answer your call, buy a clue.
FQ13 who does not feel compelled to interrupt his day for anyone who can dial ten numbers in sequense. (and that's the way it was, and we liked it! We loved it! Everything today is new and improved. I hate it! You sir, are nothing but a bald head-kabob. A bald headed freak and the children wil spit at you. ;D ).

And is works very well.  Thanks heaps for this additional way of using the forum Marshal.

It will make it easier when out and about to look at what is happening that using safari on the iPhone.

One thing I have noticed is with images.  They are not loading up. It seems to be with the code That is added to re-size the images when they are posted ??  I think. As another forum I have used this with they were showing up???

Damn phil! Shoot something! Free your mind and unplug. I am going to Montana for two weeks. No cell, no computers, and I intend to watch no news nor read a paper. The world can end for all I care, its me, some beer and lots of trout. I'm not even bringing a gun (well maybe one ;)). Still, the point is, I am away, far away from the hassel. if I want to talk to you, I'll call you. Try it, you'll like it.

I did.  Was out at the range all day today. :p

Shot a pb for rimfire and 2 points under my pb for the 9mm then spent the Arvo causing issues with the ozone layer shooting my 44 cap and ball bp revolver.

The best thing about this is when I am out at work. An onsite. There are quite often times I am installing software and have nothing that I can do but watt so... I get on the phone and surf the net and this makes it soo much quicker and easier to get on to DRTV to see what is happening.

Hmmmm....I'm very confused.

Here this feature has been working to complicate my life and, so far, I haven't noticed it at all?

Wonder if not choosing to use it has something to do with that?

And that sir, makes you smarter than the average bear.

Like Solus.....I choose to remain in the dark.  I will not own a crackberry, an Iphone or anything that doesn't just ring, ring, ring, ring, until I choose to ignore it.

Technology annoys me as I cannot live my life simply ignoring it anymore.

Our email went down at work on Wednesday, we had thirty people standing around wondering if they actually had to talk to someone across the hall or in the other cubicle.

It was friggin chaos.....I loved it!  I'm the guy who won't use it anyway, I force people to interact and they hate it!

stuff like this is not for everyone  however  I try to embrace technology  ( part of my work as well )

where this is good is for those that are on the road a lot  and when have a bit to time want to stay in touch for those quick replies

or just see what is happening

as much as I am keyboard hunter  I do still get out there  when I can.

The trick is to remember that you own the "things" that you find useful or enjoyable, not the other way around.
