Title: "Overhaulin", "Biker Build Off", & "American Chopper"
Post by: billt on July 06, 2010, 03:58:35 PM
The very first thing they need to do on all of these shows is find out whoever schedules the time frame for these builds, and take them out back and shoot them! In every one of these shows it had to be done yesterday. You would think they would learn to add 2 weeks on every delivery. But no, every time on every show they're up against the clock arguing about something that doesn't work, or someone who was late with this, that, or the other thing, and there is no time left for any kind of solution.

It really gets old after a while. Especially "American Chopper". There is always some bike show they have to get the bike ready for, or some silly deadline they have to meet. It's like they run with a house brick on the panic button  24 / 7. No one in reality works like that, and they act like it's an every day occurrence. No wonder the kid is suing the old man.  Bill T.

I don't disagree Bill!

However, the company I've worked for over the last two years makes the Tuttles look like they have MBA degrees!

American manufacturing, in some industries, is getting worse, not better!

Primarily because hiring the handicapped has reached the management levels.

You also have to remember that it's TV, so they are only going to show tension.  I have a friend that knows the Tuttles and says that the show only shows maybe 10% or less of the footage taken, and then only the "good" parts.

It's the "reality factor" in these shows that dumb downed America loves  >:(

I like the one hour shows, but they could eliminate the BS from them and combine two shows into one, or for the one episode ones like Overhaulin' and Biker Build Off they could just give us twice as much of the good stuff.

Oh well, I ranted by butt off on the History Channel yesterday  :'(
