I have been thinking about getting a decent defensive knife for a while. Finally, packing for a camping trip pushed me over the edge. I decided to go for it. I was torn between Sypderco and Benchmade. I wanted something SD worthy that didn't look I was going out looking for a fight. I narrowed it down to Benchmade's Griptilian and Spyderco's Delica as utility knives that could multi task. I was a bit put off by Spyderco's $90 price tag. And then, well God somtimes loves a (faux my ass) Libertarian. ;D I found the worlds coolest website.
Listen my brothers, As I Preach the WORD, of the Kentucky Department of Surplus. ;D Seriously, I don't know how many states do this, but all of them should, just to save the tax payers some money. This is a state agency tasked with doing nothing but selling off all the used crap the state no longer needs, from vehicles, to uniform jackets and sweaters, to office stuff, to oil paintings of race horses ::), to, in this happy case, knives. I scored a combo blade Delica for $28. Starting bid $.99, no reserve. :o Hi thyself to Kysurplus (they are also an ebay store). Seriously, a $90 knife like new, minus a few scrates on the clip and in need of sharpening. You can't beat that with a bag full of sticks.
