Okay so Eric had a tread going on some little plastic pistols and the question came of these three makers who's gun would you prefer to carry? Considering things like price, reliability, fit and finish, looks, and what ever else you can think of! As a pocket pistol lover I'm very interested to see the results.
Here's the original thread:

Only because I haven't actually shot the Diamondback

I think this spawned off my question and upcoming purchase.
I've decided to go with the crowd....Kel-Tec (pending one last inspection and handling of the gun at time of purchase)
Too many times I've tried to be an innovation leader and not been please. And while the DB might turn out to be great, it's too new, and I want to know parts and service will be here for a while.
Taurus does give out the extra mag and the nifty case, but heck, I'll just conform and be happy. Too many other fish to fry right now to really worry about it. If I had the money, I'd buy all three! Put 500 rounds through each (talk about money?) and then keep the best of the lot.

Taurus and Diamond back are new product, Buyer beware .
Kel Tec is proven.

Kahr/Ruger/KelTec ;) …mostly because the Kahr is the only one legal for sale in my state.

KelTec/Taurus/Diamond back
I have a P3AT and it works just fine. Eats what I feed it, shoots to point of aim and has never even hiccuped!

Also a P3AT owner for two years, after a fluff & buff and break in, NO issues. Like Haz posted, eats all ammo.
Also a Taurus M85 Ultra-Lite Snub owner since Christmas, .38 and +P rated, NO issues.
Friend Rob owns a Diamondback, I have never shot it, but he is pretty gun savvy and seems pleased with it.

I carry 2 revolvers. Rugers Sp101 in .357 2.25 inch Barrel, and the NEW RUGER LCR ALSO IN .357 MAGNUM. Comparing recoil of both,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET. rich642z I do not like Autos. I have 3 Glocks in 9mm for sale and I am from the OLD SCHOOL AND DISABLED.

To sum it up: I ended up with the Taurus. DiamondBack, the company, is too new to invest in right now. Taurus had some things going for it, such as the extra mag and the pouch. That and the recommendation of the gun store owner who selected the Taurus as a BU.
As I said on the other post, for those who missed it. Once I broke it in with several mags of FMJs (no failures) then it fired several mags of defensive HP ammo no hitch either.
One thing to get done very soon is to paint the sights. I'll have to check my paint selection.
The other thing I might like to replace is the magazine release button spring. I think that spring could be a little heaver to my taste. I don't anticipate a "quick" mag change and I don't want to risk it dropping out. Nice that these little guns do NOT have a mag disconnect.
Thanks for all the input everyone.

Can't answer, because I don't own any of the listed :'(
I did own a KelTek for a short time, but gave it away because I couldn't get comfortable with it.
