Same woman who took cell phone calls last summer during a town hall meeting, voted for health care, and has a track record matching the intelligence of a bowling pin.
Even Joe Biden can't believe what comes out of this woman's mouth. Please give this woman an update almost 40 years old about the current state of Vietnam.

Where is her district in Texas?
Geez.... :P

sigh...I tried to see a way she may have been speaking like one might about East and West Germany..now united, standing side by side and at peace....but her comment about wanting to see a better human rights record for North Vietnam cannot be taken as anything but her viewing them as two independent entities.
I need to look up her vote on taxing Vets for prosthesis before I give her any credit for speaking up for Vets at the start.
She didn't sound stupid, but how could she be so ignorant?

Just exploiting the sheer "wisdom and intellect" that our public officials must have gathered from our wonderful public school system. :P

The 18th district is Houston and the surrounding area. This democrap is a scary one. :o
Congresswoman Jackson Lee earned a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University with honors, followed by a J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School. In the 110th Congress, Congresswoman Jackson Lee was named the new Chairwoman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation Security and Infrastructure Protection.
She sits on three Congressional Committees — the House Committees on the Judiciary, Homeland Security, and Foreign Affairs. The Congresswoman has authored several immigration bills, such as H.R. 750, the "Save America Comprehensive Immigration Act of 2007", which sets forth a comprehensive and humane solution to the immigration problem. Rep. Jackson Lee introduced legislation to enhance federal enforcement of hate crimes with H.R. 254, the David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention of 2007. Rep. Jackson Lee also played a significant role in the recent renewal and reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act. Congresswoman Jackson Lee contributed an amendment to the NASA reauthorization bill this year that will ensure equal access for minority and economically disadvantaged students to NASA’s education programs.

In other words, she doesn't know squat about our political system or law.

As Jerry Clower once said, it has become obvious that she has been educated beyond her intelligence.

As a Texas citizen , I'm very sad some of our fine voters elected this woman. She is in a strongly Urban voting district in the Houston area . Kinda lets you know how the folks in Nevada feel about having elected Harry Reed.

Wasn't them.
It was a bunch of asshat liberals and Katrina transplants.
Same reason the Houston crime rate went up.

With her sense of geography she could end up calling for an all out nuclear strike on South Korea.

As one who spent some time in-country when there actually was a north and south, and one who also went back to the unified Nation of Vietnam in 2008 for purposes of psychological catharsis and to revisit my misspent youth, it just sort of pi$$e$ me off that an elected Federal representative doesn't have a clue about what happened then or the current status, now.
Maybe she's getting history lessons from Odamna... That's the only excuse that makes any sense.
Offered as an observation by Crusader who's too darned angry to weep for my Nation and just about ready to come out swinging.
Eff'em all. Let's start the Clean Slate Party for 2012.
