Rogers Says Afghan Intel Release Worthy Of Capital Punishment

8/2/10 - Following news that an Army private was accused with leaking thousands of pages of intelligence documents related to the war in Afghanistan, Congressman Mike Rogers says he supports execution for the soldier involved if he is ultimately found guilty. The Brighton Republican sits on the House Intelligence Committee and told WHMI that Private Bradley Manning appears to be guilty of treason in time of war, which is a capital crime. He also criticized what he called a “culture of disclosure” for encouraging someone like Manning into thinking that the release of such sensitive information was a good thing. Rogers says that in contrast, he thinks it has surely condemned to death many Afghans who assisted the United States. Manning is currently being held in solitary confinement in Virginia where he may face a court martial or federal prosecution as the investigation continues. the RUMINT (rumor intelligence) I am picking up is that Private Bradley Manning has certain proclivities that might have led him to be a pre-operative transexual.

Yeah, seriously, that is what the rumor mill is saying.

Hmmn...how's that latest iteration of "don't ask, don't tell" working out for ya?

But ya, never know, that might just be part of a larger smear campaign against him.

My guess is that his trial will be another media spectacle, could last for years, all he while, he Muslims will be laughing at us.  If he gets death, I certainly won't lose any sleep over it.  However, my "spidey sense" tells me that there will be a book deal and/or a 60 Minutes or Oprah interview before he gets put down.
