I just read the end of Alf's sale of some Walther mags. It occured to me that I've been hanging around this site for a while now and I always check the classifieds as you never know what's out there. The one thing I've never seen is one negative reference to either a buyer or a seller. The first time I sold a gun here (and all other times), I offered a ten day shoot it to see whether you like it" guarantee. I figured y'all were trust worthy. Never had a gun come back or a check bounce. That seems to be the general experience. Yay us! ;D

I felt comfortable enough with Brian, that I sent him the magazines the same day he sent me the check. It's a community thing. We've built a certain trust amongst ourselves.
And this is one reason why I am against early voting and voting by mail or on-line voting. I believe voting precincts should be small and should foster a sense of community. Everybody shows up and greets one another and exchanges pleasantries while they vote. If it were possible to actually spend some time together around the pot-belly stove----so much the better. After all our fate, political at least, is in each other hands. If I were king....well if I were king there wouldn't need to be any voting....but if I were king, I'd limit voting hours to say 2 hours in the evening. All come, bring the kids...grandma too....maybe we'll have a little covered dish dinner and some desert and sweet tea, while our poll volunteers count the vote.

Over at Runnymede England there was a guy named John, he thought that way too ;D
And yes, I'm perfectly aware that this little tidbit has absolutely nothing to do with either previous post ;D
On Topic I've dealt with several members and have nothing but compliments for all.

I had nothing but positive transactions with fellow members on the Classifieds. Ammo, knives, it was straight up across the board smooth.
I was just too slow for alf's PPK mags.... :-\

My one experience with our classifieds happened to be an ammo swap with a certain Quaker. I think he thought he got a good deal. I know I did. In point of fact, FQ kept increasing the caliber content and cartridge numbers as the swap progressed until I ended up with a good supply of useable ammo in the calibers I like most to shoot. Definitely a winning situation as far as I was concerned. This was one time where FQ's liberal attitudes were welcomed and appreciated by this conservative Rabbit.

You mean we can get money for stuff?
Every transaction I've had, I've given away and paid the postage!
Offered by Timothy, a dumb Mick with little money and less sense...
;D ;D

I think we need bafsu92 to give lessons. He appears to be the Wheeler Dealer of Bartering. :D :D :D
