REID TO MISSOURIANS, YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND HEALTH CARE: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) last week offered another example of how out of touch he is and why he is facing the stiffest re-election challenge of his career. On the day after Missouri voters resoundingly (71% to 29%) passed “Proposition C” to block the government from mandating that individuals buy health insurance (See “Politics,” Page 21), Reid told the Wall Street Journal: “It is very obvious that people have a lack of understanding of our healthcare reform bill. The more they learn about this bill, the more they like it.” According to a study of the vote by Fox News, if all 577,615 registered Republicans who showed up at the polls in Missouri last week are counted as among the 667,680 “yes” votes on Proposition C, that means that 90,065 “yes” votes came from non-Republicans. “The Liberal Party primary had 3,502 ballots cast,” reported Fox. “The Constitution Party had 1,883. And if all those folks also voted ‘yes’ (even though it seems unlikely) … and subtract that from the non-Republican ‘yes’ votes, that leaves 84,680 non-Republican, non-Liberal, non-Constitution ‘yeses.’” Dream on, Sen. Reid.

Isn't this the same thing big Nancy told everyone as it was getting rammed through? With no time to read a bill the size of the Library of Congress she told them to just pass it they'll like it? Jimmy Jones told a group that as he mixed the kool-aid too! >:(

Missouri to Prince Harry...
No Harry....we understand it just fine.
We just don't want it!
What part of the word NO! is so hard for You, Nancy and BHO to understand?
It was a real pleasure for me to Vote Yes on Prop C and is proving to be one of the most Memorable votes of my life...it rates right up there with the first time I ever voted, when at the age of 18....I helped Vote President Ronald Regan into office for his first term.

The problem rat, is that these arrogant, condescending, elitist assholes have never before been TOLD no. Pretty much the same reason so many celebrities get in trouble with the law, or go into rehab.

That's why I sincerely hope there are a lot of sore political assholes around November 3rd.

I do too Peg, but I just have this really bad feeling. I am afraid of waking up on Nov. 3rd, and watching the talking heads wringing their hands and full of glee. Maybe 12-15 seats flipped, but the majority staying there. Same crew. Running for the microphones to announce that the extremist "teabaggers" are a bunch of racist that were unable to sway the voters. Over the next 2 years there will be allegations, and even proof of massive voter fraud, but as always they will be downplayed, and left un-investigated. Socialists rarely eat there own. :(

Hate to agree with you but......

They really don't want to do that, politicians will start turning up in trees and dumpsters since no one will retain any faith in the voting process.

I hope you're right Tom, but I think that they have become so completely detached, they think that people don't have the intestinal fortitude to go after them. Look at how they treated their constituents last summer at the town hall meetings over health care. They don't care. They think that they are above the law, and above the Constitution. I sadly believe they think we are too stupid, and too lazy to hold them accountable, and the worst part is that as far as about 45% of the country goes, THEY'RE RIGHT. >:(

Actually that would be more like 52% Wasn't that BHO's margin of victory?

I'm including margin of error for the few that now realize how bad they screwed themselves.

Yeah, but they'll all be voting for the ahole in 2012, so..................

An interesting point was raised last night on one of the Talk Shows. (<---Can't remember which one so I won't try and quote it. I believe it was the Factor)
But the gist of it is that if the Republicans sweep the Mid-Term elections in November and manage to take back even a simple majority of Congress it sets the Dems up for a better chance at re-electing their Messiah in 2012.
Should the Republicans take back the House and or Senate...they will be held responsible for every vote cast between the time they take office and the day we cast our ballots.
The Dems will either once again assume the Victum role and blame the Conservatives for the failures of the Economy. Or attempt to take credit when the economy begins to turn around under the control of the Reblicans
.
There will be an awful lot of the Old Washington Two Step going on over the next couple of Years regardless and I think it prudent that we all remain vigilant and not allow ourselves to become complacient no matter what the results are.

The more I hear, the more I firmly I believe in the Tom B. "Rope is the Answer" campaign.

??? I guess I waisted a lot of time and money getting that law degree reading the health care bill and, oh, voting. Oh well, I guess that is what I get for being a Missourian. You know like Harry Truman, General Blackjack Pershing, Martha Jane Canary (Calamity Jane), George Washington Carver, General Omar Bradley, Mark Twain, and Josey Wales. Wait a minute, Josey Wales? Was he born in Missouri? :o
Josey Wales: Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is.
-
Might want to leave Martha Jane out of it, she was an alcoholic, foul mouthed, ( possibly Lesbian ) prostitute with the clap (that was the "Calamity" )
-
Oh, we understand it alright. It's socialism, NWO, and it gives the IRS new broad powers like making you list, and paying a tax on your guns.[Good luck on that one] And that clause about the implantable chip will soon be known. Read the bill:

Sorry, we can't pick where we are born. Well, at least not unless you get to be president. LOL

I don't think that will be the case this time around. The last 2 years have taught people to pay attention to their reps and how they vote. People are becoming more involved and better educated about the political process. I think that at least for the rest of the BHO regime, people are going to be watching Congress and the White House pretty closely. I think that the rage over the health care catastrophe still has most Americans stirred up. And if Pelosi and crew try and pull a bunch of crap during a lame duck session you are probably going to see riots on the Beltway.

Look, I'm going to say this, and I hope folks will listen. Folks will accuse me of being a "Libtard, GOP hating, Bush basher", the latter is true BTW ;). But here's the thing, the dems (in your very possible scenario) will just be taking a page out of the GOP playbook. They have become the Party of Victimhood, damned by the "elites" and the MSM. Was W ever President? I seem to remember that even AFTER his re-election, the GOP blamed Clinton for the economic downturn and 911 and, and, and.... "Recessions take a while to develop". Yet now they're blaming BO after 18 months in office (hell, they were blaming him after 18 days). Funny how things change. Likewise, their strategy has been to be the party of No. The Dems want it? No. OK. Well, whats your plan? Crickets. There seems to be a mindset in the GOP that the worse things get for the country, the better things get for them since folks will vote for "change" yet again. Hey, it worked for BO didn't it?
It seems to me that the GOP needs to do some serious soul searching. They need to do two things.
1) Remember that they are a large part of the problem. They had both houses from 1994-2006. They still have the Court. They had the White House for eight of those years. They weren't just bystanders, so lets please drop the victim crap and the finger pointing. If you couldn't get it done then, why should I trust you now? Please, look in a mirror before opening your mouth.
2) Tell us what you are for! I know what you're against. Hell, I'm against most of it too. Only I was also against it when you guys were in charge. What's changed? How have YOU changed? Tell me what you are FOR. No plattitudes, no flag waving Bible thumping BS. Spare me the rhetoric. GIVE ME A FREAKING PLAN! If they do that, they will win. If the best they can do is point fingers and call names? Well, they still might win, but the Dems will do it right back two years later and we, the American people will lose, again. :'(

"Recessions take a while to develop". Yet now they're blaming BO after 18 months in office He voted on the budgets as a senator. Remember that all the president can do is sign a budget, they originate in the house.(hell, they were blaming him after 18 days). Funny how things change. It seems to me that the GOP needs to do some serious soul searching. They need to do two things. Kick out the RINO's and start repealing wealth redistributive legislation. FOR STARTERS

Please, look in a mirror before opening your mouth.
Said the pot to the kettle.
2) Tell us what you are for! Uh, that would be lower taxes, limited government, secure borders, less welfare, and hey, while we're at it how about we just win that war on terror too. I know what you're against. Hell, I'm against most of it too. Only I was also against it when you guys were in charge. What's changed? How have YOU changed? Tell me what you are FOR. The problem conservatives have with winning is that they are not offering free ice cream. Only a level playing field. Under those circumstances people are allowed to fail. That doesn't sit well with half the country. If the best they can do is point fingers and call names? Well, they still might win, but the Dems will do it right back two years later and we, the American people will lose, again. :'(

This post is one of the key reasons your opinions are so often ridiculed - and with good measure. The game has changed, and just as the 2-partiers want you to be, you are still hung up on Dems vs. Reps. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
One last time - Both parties have sold out the American people. Both of them. Both are worthless, both are dangerous. And don't whine at me about the Libertarians. Most people - those with a brain - are well aware of the results of Clinton appearing weak and indecisive for 8 years, culminating in the 9/11 attacks. The Libertarians would have us eschew all foreign "entanglements", when - outside of DC - the risk is greatest from outside this country.
The American public has been dumbed down and sotted with bread and circuses of the 21st Century. They have elected the very purveyors of our demise - almost a mercy killing at this point with all of the damage that has been done over the past 100 years - by Republicans and Democrats alike.
I do not want it, but I fear the hard war is the most likely outcome, unless the country just rolls over and gives up. And there is always willful disobedience, barter, trading, mutual aid groups, ignoring onerous laws and the like. The .gov will make damn sure object lessons are taught - very public arrest, trial and incarceration, but it should only strengthen our resolve to strangle this behemoth gummint that is being topped off on our watch.
-
I think people should tell the government NO! Stand up to them more often and don't back down.
-
FQ, I have been giving you plans, and you mostly don't like them.
You are as usual wrong, it's late, so I will limit myself to pointing out that your initial assumption is flawed, the Dems have been playing victim ever since they discovered that if they promised the blacks welfare , the blacks would ignore the fact that the KKK was a strictly Dem Organization, they did not allow Republicans to join .
-

This is a point that I have been pushing for many years.....Leftist don't like it either because they simply can't argue against it.
-
Sounds like YOU have a a plan. Think the Republicans will listen to you?
Most likely they would probably crucify me the way the Dems did to Joe the Plumber. One thing politicians (on either side) don't like is their constituents telling them to do the job that they were elected for. Not to mention actually keeping the promises that they made while campaigning.
-
I have more time now and will agree with Path .
Dem, Rep. Don't matter, they all represent their campaign funds.
This is why I advocate hanging them instead of voting them out, the vote doesn't need to be rigged if you don't have a real candidate to choose.
That was the real lesson of the last election, the only ones who "supported" McCain were one issue Veterans, Everyone else hated him for Campaign Finance and his amnesty plan. the only reason they voted for him was because he was not Obama.
There is much to the "Conspiracy Theories" about George Soros, who's minion Rebbecca Peters just lost her job at the UN.
Let me point out, I am not advocating rash individual actions,
Give them a nice Show Trial, Then whack them. ;D
-

You mean, ask them if they would like to plead innocent or guilty before they are hanged?? ;D

I think it was Judge Roy Bean who said, "Before I find you guilty, how do you plead?" ;D

I'd even go so far as presenting some evidence, can't be fairer than that . ;D
