And one at Bud's

Gonna be interesting to see how high these go

As the Governornator said in Preditor, "You are one ugly Motherflower!" I would like to own one of those but not at the $700 price. Some where around $450 seems reasonable.

Auction price: $492.00 (Cash discount price) From Buds

I would give $200.00 dollars for the gun. Not worth $700.00 to me. Just my own opinion. But if you are a fool to spend that much,go ahead. rich642z

Amen! I might go $250 if the trigger is good (God knows it sucks on the P-11). Thing is, even then I'd hesitate because its not in .22 LR. I mean, .22 Win Mag? If ever there was a cartridge looking for a purpose, at least now, this would be the one. Its like a long range .22 only a lot spendier. That thirty round mag will seem a lot less cool after you have to buy more ammo. In plain old .22, I'd take one at $250, as it is, I'll pass.

If FQ agrees with you, you need to rethink that whole thing. I'm just saying.

It's not his intelligence I doubt, just his sanity ;D

Those look like they would be really fun blasters and excellent for small game hunting. I am going to have to get one after the are more widely available.
.22 WMR is a highly underrated round!

Just the opposite opinion here. (keeps things interesting, eh-what?) As underrated as the .22 WMR is, it's still over-rated.
If you must have a high power rim-fire go with the .17HMR. Bear in mind for almost the same price as either you could be shooting 9mm or .223.
-
Haha Alf I guess that we'll have to agree to disagree. ;D
There is nothing that the .17 HMR will do that the .22 WMR with good ammo won't do. Of course, the reverse is true as well. I have shot a lot of game with the .22 WMR (up to coyote-sized) and I hear a lot of old-timers talking about how they killed deer with it (no experience there).
Plus, a .22 WMR feeds better through autos (if that's what you like to shoot).

Disagreeing again. Alf's ROT: Rimmed cartridges don't do very well through autoloaders.
But hey, who the heck is this "Alf" fellow and what does he know anyway? He's wrong half the time and the other have he's not right.
;)
ROT = Rule of Thumb. Not an absolute but a generalization. Exceptions abound.

That is the "common knowledge" of the industry. I have heard some unfortunate things about the .17 HMR in autos though:

I do think it is a splendid round, but the .22 WMR and it are so close it is six one way and a half-dozen the other...
