Title: Taco vendor, judge, Iraq vet collar suspected thief
Post by: bafsu92 on August 12, 2010, 08:25:04 PM
Only in Miami...

The best part of the story, the quote from the judges son: ``Thank God for the Second Amendment and armed civilians,'' said Christopher.

Bien venidos a Miami. ::) Only in Florida. Sometimes you want to move. The rest of the time? You get all the entertainment you need without paying for cable. ;D

It's these type of stories that make me miss So. FL. I always remember the best news stories when I lived down there.

Well done.  Miami shows a bit more self reliance than NYC where passersby ignore a woman's cries for help during a Rape-In-Progress.

ESPECIALLY loved THAT part.

Noted by a broadly smiling Crusader, a well-known Vietnam vet, who is comforted by the Glock concealed 'neath his shirt. ;)

I keep trying to get him to correct this lapse in judgment.  Hopefully soon with a tasteful snub nose .357. ;)

If the first 6 are well placed you don't NEED the other 5.

Maybe you weren't paying attention to where we're from. When I mentioned 11, I was assuming one headshot for each attacker, with the distraction hopefully sufficient to allow a reload. ;D
FQ13 who sometimes thinks Bagdad is safer than Miami if you pick the wrong neighborhood to get a flat tire in. Hell, if it were cold enough for trench coats, the AR would be my CCW of choice if I had to commute through Overtown ;D

Not to throw your own words back in your face, but.......
If this is your reality, why then haven't YOU moved.

Quote from FQ,

"I am one of the eye rollers here. If I need all of that crap, I'm not going into that neighborhood. My daily load out is one G26 (no spare mag, cause if I can't get it done in 11, I'm probably dead). One, 2 1/2 " Gerber knife (tactical against hang nails and fishing knots), an LEd key chain light, a cell phone, and situational awareness. Dude, I live in Florida, not Iraq. Wear the gun, don't let the gun wear you. If you live in a more hazardous environment, adjust. But if I need 2 guns, 2 knives, a tactical vest, etc., survey says, MOVE!

I live in Palm Beach. The threats I face are Rush Limbaugh at Tabboo when he's had one too many or Anne Coulter showing up at my mom's shop. (The china gets expensive and the cops are just across the street. ;D The AR is just for road trips.

PS for anyone about to get their panties in a twist, Coulter and I are nodding accuaintences and anyone who's ever been to Palm Beach, or for that matter, listened to Rush's show knows that that is watering hole (my take good booze, ok food). No offense intended.
