Thanks for all the prayers, Dad passed Wednesday night, Thanks for all the prayers, I'm taking it pretty hard, as he was my last living parent, or grand parent, He passed in a coma and had no pain.
As I said before, he introduced me to hunting and fishing, and our best times were on those trips. He was my stepfather, but adopted me, He was my Dad, no doubt. A good part of my life and now gone. God accept him to his right hand. May he meet all those who have gone before, and rest in peace. Time to morn a bit. :'(
Thanks again to my DRTV family. You guys and girls are the best.

A once upon a time friend of mine, a Rabbi in fact, once told me, after my Dad passed away, that when our first parent dies, we are brought face-to-face with our own mortality.
When the second parent passes, we become an orphan. It does not matter how many siblings, wives, children, whatever you have, you are still an orphan, and you have to confront that reality.
Benny, my heart goes out to you, Brother. Hang tough, be at peace, and know that God has called him home.
