Title: Vote the Bums Out Day Pt. 1!
Post by: fightingquaker13 on August 24, 2010, 08:01:30 AM
Today is primary day here in Fl. Today, I get to do what I have been threatening, and advising others to do since '09. If you've been in more than one or two terms, out you go. I may be replacing an old bum with an even worse new bum (mumble..Obama...mumble :-[), but still I have had it. Candidate by candidate, or even party by party it won't matter. But across the board and across parties? I think they'll get the clue. At least I hope so.
FQ13 who dreams of a sophomore Rep. (of whichever party) being voted in as Speaker. It won't happen, but its a nice thought. Vote-M-Out, good and good for you.  ;D

I'm moving to CT next week and for the first time in a long time, my vote might actually mean something.  You can bet your ass I'm going to get to the polls.  I have a bit of work and expense ahead of me to change residency but I will get it done, maybe not for any primary but definitely for the general.

November 2.....mark your calenders.

I am officially pissed, as in mad., Soon, I will be pissed as in drunk. I voted, doing my civic duty. I showed up about three pm. My polling place covers three precincts. Total turn out? I was voter number 76! >:( >:( >:(
FQ13 who desperately wants to go door to door smacking people in the head. Is that wrong?
I weep for this nation. :'( >:(

I left work early to make sure I voted.  ;D

My polivng place covered five precincts and was empty!  :o  But it was 2 PM and most people were at work (well, the ones that are employed anyway.)  I also think the mad construction and it being in a school that's full of kids ready to get out kept them away till later (now).

Voted after work, researched all the Judges, County Commissioners, School Bd. critters, and the other seats, went in with a handwritten list.

I don't think I ever stayed in the "booth" that long.

Still, Florida says maybe 15-20% turnout.... >:(

Don't vote? Don't bitch...

Only incumbent I voted for was a Circuit Judge, met him at the last gun show. He's a Mason, Shriner, NRA Life Member, expert trap shooter, hard nosed Judge, that has arrested folks in his court that cannot prove their citizenship. Kinda like Sheriff Joe with a Black Robe.

The Miami Herald, and Scum (Sun)-Sentinel newspapers, HATE him,....so he deserves another go,... ;D

Can't believe, such important decisions of our countries future, come down to a pittance of voters....

Sad.

So I'll toss one back with ya' FQ.  A double Mojito appetizer, and a very stout Rosenblum "Rockpile" Zinfandel alcohol 15.5% with dinner, than hopefully not throw anything at my TV.
