Good subject Badger and welcome back, the original M6 was .22 hornet and 410 shotgun, a bit more power for the center fire but can't carry a lot of ammo, and it was meant for the USAF, it only held 9 rounds of Hornet. The current .22lr version and .410, has lots of possibilities that I think compliment each other, especially if you reload, the .410 chamber will accept 45 colt, 454 casull, and you could reload these with lower pressure round ball, or expansive bullets, but sticking with the original conception, is not bad either. I also considered buying one of these many yrs ago. The use of para cord on anything, just to have it available is a good move, I use it on my knife sheaths on certain knifes and it is always good, make snares, turniquet etc, and just having cord to make shelter is good, so wrap it around everything you can and have it handy. Nice video too, it will do the job, and if you carry some super colibri aquila ammo, super quiet, but I have killed 72 squirrels in my back yard with nobody noticing, right behind the ear, and they fall out of the tree.

The older ones without a trigger guard were better at folding in half, and you could use your whole hand to squeeze the crappy trigger. I think Springfield Armory made them.

P.S. There was a pistol version too.  8)  http://www.gunshopfinder.com/springfield/M69501.asp

Will it safely shoot a .454 Casull? Because if so, that makes it a whole different animal, not just a small game, but large game/last ditch SD weapon in bear country or against 2 legged threats.

I doubt it can safly fire  45 colt.  It might, but I would be standing several dozen yards behind you, while you do so.

the diffrence in presure between shot and metalic is huge.  lets also not  forget that it most likly has a tight choke, which could also lead to issuses.

I was thinking something similar,
Hazcat's 454 rifle will also shoot 45 Colt
The Taurus "Circuit Judge" revolving rifle chambers 45Colt / 410
Why not use 454 in the Circuit Judge ?
454 is about triple the pressure of a 410.   :o

Intellectual exercise FQ .
Like converting a Mauser 8mm to 6.8 by closing the bolt, cut out the excess length then weld it all back together.
Not the strongest conversion, but it gives you things to measure  ;D
