Title: Think This Could Be Manhattan One Day? Video
Post by: twyacht on September 05, 2010, 07:34:07 AM
Just a show of Islamic Power.WITH THEIR OWN SECURITY!!! Even though they have no permit or permission to close down streets and commerce. They do it anyway, and the French Police have been told NOT to interfere.

Think Bloomberg or NYPD would be any different?

Take a few minutes to watch. I'm going to be ordering more ammo.

PARIS  – Friday in Paris. A hidden camera shows streets blocked by huge crowds of Muslim worshippers and enforced by a private security force.

This is all illegal in France: the public worship, the blocked streets, and the private security. But the police have been ordered not to intervene.

A couple of highway sized snow blowers starting at each end of the street would go a long way towards clearing the problem of of the streets. then a couple of fire trucks to wash away the mess.

I was under the impression that this already does occur in parts of Manhattan/NYC. :'(

Does this REALLY surprise anyone?  Also, is it really no surprise that we haven't seen or heard a damn thing about it in the lamestream media?

This once great country is being sold down the river.

However, if you go upstate just a little, you will find the town of Kiryas Joel. This is a largely Orthodox Jewish community. You will be greated at the town limits by a large sign. The message? You are told to dress modestly, avoid profanity and maintain gender segregation.!!!!?????? WTF? Are women supposed to wear bhurqas as well? Its not just the muslims. Its what happens when the state allows religious extremists of whatever stripe to impose their values on their neighbors because they somehow think that because they really, really believe something that they get to make their own rules. Sorry, not the way it works. Since its Sunday, I'll turn to scripture here. Render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasar's, and render unto God that which is God's. Worship what you want, but dont think for a second that it means the rules don't apply to you. The French ought to be ashamed of themselves for their cowardice (but I guess that's asking too much of them). We on the other hand, should make damn sure we dont follow in their footsteps.

You end up in the right neighborhood, but your use of "moral equivalency" at the beginning is appalling at the least. Offensive too. If you go to Kierias Joel then you are entering their community, just like Williamsburg in NYC, or the way Devon Ave. used to be in Chicago. As a faux "libertarian", I would at least have expected you to recognize their community's powers to set norms and expect them to be respected. This is just one example of why you are a FAUX "libertarian".

That is not the same as a bunch of beheading camel jockeys coming into your town and demanding you allow them to violate the laws. Or violating the laws and through the threat of violence force you to allow them to continue to violate the laws. If this were a motorcycle gang doing this - as they have in some towns - instead of some mooslims, the police and National Guard would be working overtime to take them all down.

BTW, I was not able to find anything about "Kierias Joel" on teh interw3bs. Given your propensity to misspell damn near your whole post at times, I'm sure it is just a permutations of what you wrote. Got a link?

And ichiban, we are not being sold down the river. The sale is over, past tense, and the new owners are simply taking possession. It ain't just the Chinese who bought us. I wonder when the biggest debt holder (China) realizes that other creditors of ours have been handed the assets we used as collateral?

You're half right Path. I can't spell worth a damn. Its Kiryas Joel. :-[ In my defense I was working from memory.
As far as moral equivalency, it wasn't about comparing Jews and Muslims. It was comparing the US and France, and the dangers inherent in setting out exceptions for folks because of their particular religious beliefs. The post had zero to do with any religion. It was about the need to insist on equal treatment under the law. Kiryas Joel has stayed on the right side of that line so far. Its just a bit of a warning light about how things could go if we follw in the footsteps of France.

By that reasoning the Chicago gun ban would have been OKed by SCOTUS, You want to own a gun, to bad, you in my town now.

ROFL  ;D

Actually, no. Kiryas Joel has not violated any laws, let alone any enumerated rights. Chicago, NY, NYC, SF et al. ad nauseum have violated our rights as human beings and under the US Constitution.

Appreciate the laughter at the other part though. I was in a particularly snarky mood when I wrote that.  ;D

It must be really bad if the French are standing up against it and fighting it.  Not really their style.

People blocking streets and preventing my right of passage without due cause and/or proper permits will anger me, whether they be muslims, christians, Bouddhists, Dutch, French, white, black, blue, green or more then one of the above. However, I believe that the kind of massive demand (not request) for "understanding" and "tolerance"  will defeat itself, given the fact that apparently more and more non-muslim French object against this kind "peaceful", "benign" and "tolerant" actions.
