First of all, start with a cage containing five monkeys. Inside the cage, hang
a banana on a string and place a set of stairs under it. Before long, a monkey will
go to the stairs and start to climb towards the banana.
As soon as he touches the stairs, spray all the other monkeys with cold water.
After a while another monkey makes the attempt with same result, all the other monkeys
are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon when another monkey tries to climb the
stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it.
Now, put the cold water away. Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it
with a new one. The new monkey sees the banana and wants to climb the stairs.
To his shock, all of the other monkeys attack him. After another attempt and
attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs he will be assaulted.
Next, remove another of the original five monkeys and replace it with a new one.
The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes
part in the punishment with enthusiasm. Likewise, replace a third original monkey
with a new one, then a fourth, then the fifth. Every time the newest monkey takes
to the stairs he is attacked.
Most of the monkeys that are beating him up have no idea why they were not permitted
to climb the stairs or why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey.
After replacing all of the original monkeys, none of the remaining monkeys have
ever been sprayed with cold water. Nevertheless, no monkey ever again approaches
the stairs to try for the banana. Why not? Because as far as they know, that is
the way it has always been done around here.
And that, my fellow monkeys, is how Congress operates...
We need to REPLACE all the original monkeys this November!!!!!!!!!!
Vote like your life depended on it...it does.

If the words of Alexis de Tocqueville were still true we would not be where we are in this country.
"The Americans combine the notions of Christianity and of liberty so intimately in their minds, that it is impossible to make them conceive the one without the other … Upon my arrival in the United States, the religious aspect of the country was the first thing that struck my attention; and the longer I stayed there, the more did I perceive the great political consequences resulting from this state of things, to which I was unaccustomed. In France I had almost always seen the spirit of religion and the spirit of freedom pursuing courses diametrically opposed to each other; but in America I found that they were intimately united, and that they reigned in common over the same country."

Runstowin, I could not agree with you more. It is the whole reason those in power use every chance they get to use what they perceive of separation of church and state to remove it from our government and schools. Removing religion and the idea that your rights come from your creator, gives then the power that your rights come from government, which is what most other countries have been stuck with.
What continues to amaze me is that people from other countries that come here, understand liberty more than the apathetic uneducated Americans who live here. But I guess it is not totally their fault, Americans have been intentionally uneducated on the subject by a government and teachers unions corrupt school system, combined with Marxist T.V. pumping corrupting information in their head non-stop. It will be a tough battle to stop the decaying liberty of America, If I could recommend one thing, it would be for each parent to educate themselves and in turn educate their children. In my opinion if this is not done liberty will be totally lost for our children.
