Thought this was kinda cool for the tech involved. Everything old is new again.

FTA:
The all-wing Ho 2-29 looked more like today's U.S. B-2 bomber —or something from a Star Wars prequel—than like any other World War II aircraft. Made primarily of wood and powered by jet engines, the plane was designed for speeds of up to 600 miles an hour (970 kilometers an hour).
Armed with four 30mm cannons and two 500-kilogram (1,100-pound) bombs, the planned production model was also meant to pack a punch.
A Ho 2-29 prototype made a successful test flight just before Christmas 1944. But by then time was running out for the Nazis, and they were never able to perfect the design or produce more than a handful of prototype planes.

One of the leading developers of the WWII new "jet technology" was Heinkel. An amazing creator, and it was only timing of Allied ass kicking, that kept Germany from developing the next generation of combat aircraft, they were very close.
The V1, and V2, were terror weapons, but if we would not have cut production and implementation, via bombing the crap out their production facilities, the war "could" have had a different outcome.
The Germans have, and still continue, to build good stuff. Patton himself remarked "A fine waste of great infantry" as he did his duty and beat Rommel at his own game.
The Panzer, Tiger, 109 aircraft, Bismarck, and many others were far ahead of the curve back than. Thankfully, Allied resolve and sacrifice stopped it. But what a leap warfare took because of the German engineering.
Oh, and yes, as a Mauser owner, I know why Remington and Weatherby COPY it's bolt action.... ;)

Just watch about Hilter's super bombs and they were starting to kick butt but were a head of it's time, went to fast thru the ships and exploded to late

Jack Northrup was building flying wings in the 1920's. The current B-2 is based on a design he sold the Air Force in the late 40's.
The YB 49 project was canceled because it was decided that flying wings were to unstable for existing control technology.
The B-2 is all computerized fly by wire systems.

I want one that is FLYABLE. That thing is awesome. I've seen the center section at Dulles and the Northrop prototype and I'd fly either one just about anywhere.

COOL video's!
To quote Vince. "Everybody knows Germans make good stuff!" ;D
