Watching the Military Channel, caught a review on CQB firearms. MP7, and the Kriss Super V recoil reduction system, barrel rise is almost removed, even in 45ACP.
Holy Crap Batman!!! 950-1100 rpm. Where's the civilian version?
Looks like a Star Wars weapon, built and modeled after the AK platform. Keep It Simple Stupid. What a concept.

I want one of each of those! Or at least a chance to fire them. I wish I could afford the civilian carbine version of that KRISS.

Hell if it were free and legal, you'd still go broke buying ammo. :-\

People, me among them, ridicule 5.56 for military use, 4.6 is even smaller and more useless.
-
Its a specialty round like the Sig .556. Low recoil, super penetration, high rate of fire and a big ass magazine. Great for kicking in doors against folks wearing armor where the neighbors can't sue you if one goes through their wall. Other than that..????? ???
The ..45 though. ;D

Unless penetrating a Level III Kevlar vest WITH Trauma Plate through and through is useless, plus you can carry it in your jacket or coat...
Secret Service Likes It. Wonder what they know? ::)

Don't matter if they know anything, they will take what Congress gets sold on them and make do.
Just like the military.
Now that I think about it, High velocity, lots of penetration ?
Just the ticket for crowded venues, like a Presidential appearance.
Maj Hassan would approve. The poor SOB's in the crowd ?
Not so much.

The SS have needs that most of us don't, besides they often have ALOT of fire power near by. its not uncommon for them to have a 7.62 mini gun in a SUV/ van close by.
I mean, they need something that can be hidden in a jacket, can stop a armored target, has a high rate of fire, holds lots of ammo, and won't go thru a bunch of walls and kill some one.
I really can't think of another group that has those needs.

WTF?
Sig makes rifles and pistols, damn fine ones. What the hell is a Sig .556 "specialty round"? Do you even think before you write stuff? Rhetorical question.
.556 is a half a millimeter - less than the diameter of a pin - or a 55.6 caliber, either one, it doesn't make any sense at all. I can't even guess at what you were trying to say.
-
Maybe he ment the 357 sig.
you know a 40 s&w necked down to .355 ( aka 9 mm)

Sorry it was a brain fart. What I was thinking of was the 5.7x28 used in the FN P90. Where sig and .556 materialized, I have no idea. The rest of the post stands though. :-[
