Title: I done did it this time!
Post by: garand4life on September 29, 2010, 05:31:19 PM
I did it... I ended up trading my M&P9 for a FNP9. This is a sweet poly9 for sure. I ended up getting an even trade with I guy I know a couple hours from here for his FNP9. I've wanted to try one for a while and since M&Ps are becoming a dime a dozen here I figured why not try it and if it doesn't work out I can always trade the FN off. But my plan is still to but a FNP9USG through the NRA Instructor Program and basically stay standardized on one platform for now. Heck that why I have two guns that take all the same parts and mags. This one I got doesn't have the manual safety but to me that's a little redundant especially coming from a striker fired gun.
I even got a BladeTech holster and mag carrier in the deal so it wasn't too bad at all. I love the trigger feel and the fact it fits me as well as my M&P. I'll miss the Smith but this was something I just wanted to do. What is the common explanation around here... not that I had to just that I wanter to!?
I just wish there was a better aftermarket for the FNP. Of course when I got my M&P the same situation was out there for the new Smith "Super Sigma". So I can't wait to take it for a spin. I love it so far, especially since is function just like my Sig but at about 2/3 the weight and bulk.

As an owner of both, (M+P in .40), FN in 9mm, they are both exceptional pistols. Love the grip, capacity, weight, and simple design of both.

M+P's becoming a dime a dozen? They are going for a lot more than I paid in 08 for mine,...but hey, good deal nonetheless.

Great pair of pistols regardless. Enjoy your FN, it will not let you down.

I have a feeling, when the timing is right, you'll get another M+P,... ::)

Tell me if I'm wrong,..... ;D

 " What is the common explanation around here... not that I had to just that I wanter to!?" Next step, don't sell, or trade, just buy more.  ;)

Geeze, M25.  That looks like my holster box...cept yours if full of pistols.

Lord, is your holster box an empty swimming pool?

I'm not so much into collecting large quantities anymore. I more or less would rather have 4 or 5 guns I shoot constantly and carry then subject a good tool to life in prison (safe). I will eventually get another M&P and another USP and another 226 but when you only make $1500 a month max with $1200 in cost of living it's hard to build up the cash.

Operator;
If I were to sneak in and steal one, how long before you'd notice? ;D

I hear that. I would love to get my paws on one of these, even more so I have the itch for a 5" or 6" 44mag. Alas no funds for play things right now.
