They're showing it for $139.95 for 500 rounds, or $279.90 a thousand. And that is SHIPPED! That comes to $5.60 a box of 20 delivered, or .28 cents a round. Bill T.
-
That's the best price I've seen in ten years.
-
TOO LATE! They all say "OUT of STOCK"!
-
I'm sure billt bought it all.
-
Thanks for the "teaser" billt, :-\
;)
Hopefully, more will come around at that price.
-
Just checked and shows in stock now.
-
It's shows in stock now, but they want $30 for shipping ??? I just bought a 1000 rds of 9mm this afternoon, I'm going to go back to my local ammo shop and check what they want for 1000 rds of 5.56 xm193. With shipping included I don't think I'll save to much depending on local price + tax @ 9.3% :P But we'll see...

$139.95 X 2 = $279.90 (1,000 rounds)
$279.90 + $30.00 (Shipping) = $309.90 Total
$309.90 for 1,000 rounds comes to $6.20 a box of 20 delivered. Not too bad at all. The absolute cheapest I've seen brass cased, reloadable .223 is PMC at Cabela's for $6.49 a box. If you factor in Arizona's 9.3% sales tax, (thanks to the teachers union), it comes to $7.09 a box. So this place is .60 cents a box cheaper for Federal Mil-Spec Ammo. Bill T.
-
Still shows in stock at the same price. Bill T.

O gee thanks billt, with shipping, $155.00, should be here Wed. ::)
Ordered, done deal. Trying to get a co-worker, with an M+P 15T, to split another order for 1000rds. But my order for 500 is in.
Thanks,.....
My wife keeps wondering what those heavy boxes are,.... For the good stuff at this price, it's worth it.

I've got free tickets to the Ft. Laud show, if you wanna see,....
Probably could have charged the ammo, but that Glenn's Military Surplus, might have raised a few eyebrows,.... ::)

Testing the anti-pirate defense system? ;D

PS, why not OFFER the aforementioned system? You, your new lapua, afew m-16s and your kid on a cruise? Sounds good to me.

What's that going for (the regular stuff, not the CAS stuff)? I'm still toying with the BFG in .45 casull. I'll be shooting the colt out of it mostly for obvious reasons if I do buy it. ;D

.48 cents a round and up.... :'(

.454 Casull???? Silly rabbit: .74 cents a round and UP

But after all, a BFG shooting a 300 grain bullet,....well it shouldn't take many,.... :o

Sad to hear about the .45s. If I do buy the thing, there will be darn few .454s shot through it unless I'm hunting or practicing. I probably put 20 .38s through my Blackhawk for every .357 I fired. Why pay and suffer more when you don't have to?

For some reason big bore pistol ammo always seems over priced. Hot loaded .44 Magnum, .454 Casull, and .475 Linebaugh, have always come in as or more expensive than many Magnum rifle rounds. The absolute worst of all is .500 S&W Magnum. Some of the premium stuff in this caliber costs as much as .50 BMG. That makes no sense to me at all. I understand it is a specialized round, but I've seen it as high as $70.00 for a box of 20 rounds. Just insanity. Bill T.

Another excellent price from Wideners. This is $360.00 FOR 1,200 ROUNDS! Bill T.
-
Wow. That's M885 with the steel penetrator. That's usually a lot more expensive.
-
Oh, gee, thanks billt, now I have a co-worker and I splitting an order.....My Sig 556 loves this stuff. The hotter the better.
The 62gr. gives a wee bit more thump and is a great round.
Got to keep the Zombie stocks up,..... ;)
-
lol zombie stock up!
-
It's a very good price. I'm pretty good on .223, but I'm going to stock up on some Com-Block ammo for my AK's and Mosins. Bill T.

I just got off the phone with Widener's and ordered 2 cases of this stuff. It should ship today. She told me they still have some but it's moving fast. I googled IMI M855 Ammo, and it's unbelievable what some people are selling this stuff for! $360.00 for 1,200 rounds is a steal. IMI makes good ammo. I have a lot of .223, but hardly none M 855. Bill T.
-
Great price Billt. ;) Been searching sites and comparing prices the past couple of nights. Missed the gun show over the weekend to be able to acquire more ammo. Got lucky at local gun show to be able to pick up 500 rounds of the Federal.
Have not tried the IMI stuff. Was checking out the prices at Midway last night and saw the they had Winchester 1,000 rounds for $378. They had the same amout of Wolf (Crap ammo) for $180 I believe.
Thanks for the tip on where to look Billt. Greatly appreciate it.
-
Check these prices as well I've ordered quite a bit of M855 and PMC X-Tac here lately: http://www.palmettostatearmory.com/223-556-ammo.php (http://www.palmettostatearmory.com/223-556-ammo.php)
$12 per thousand shipping too. They just ran the X-Tac for $5.49 a box in case price and probably will again. I'm back up to over 10k of 5.56 again, time for another class.
-
The UPS man just came. Another 2,400 rounds of M-855 is now in stock. Can't possibly have too much ammo! Bill T.

M855, 62gr Steel Core.
$88.00 for 300rds....In stock,...

That's a good price! A few bucks cheaper than the IMI M-855. Federal Mil-Spec ammo is about as good as it gets. I wonder if it is loaded as hot as the IMI? Ammo is coming down in price across the board. I just wonder how long it will last? Bill T.
-
Component prices should be going down too.
Stock up on powder, bullets and primers while they are cheaper.
Buy and shoot the cheaper ammo while the prices are low and save all the brass.
If, or more probably when, prices rise again, reload.
-
Looks like I bought my 2,400 rounds of IMI, M-855 from Wideners just in the nick of time. The joint blew up today at 10:00 AM this morning! Bill T.

I called Wideners and they're still up and running. I just ordered 5,000 Lake City 55 Gr. .224 FMJ bullets from them. Good deal at $390.00 including shipping USPS. Should be here by next week. That comes to only $7.80 a hundred shipped. Bill T.

My Lake City, M-193, 55 Gr. FMJ Boatail projectiles came Saturday from Widener's. They ship in 1,000 round bags, 5 bags to the case. The poor USPS girl was struggling to bring them to my door. Melanie heard the truck pull up and ran out to help her. I was at work. Must have been a Kodak Moment seeing 2 women carrying in my bullets!
Anyway these bullets are the absolute highest quality bulk bullets I've ever seen. They are very smooth, shiney, and uniform, and the cannurles are smoothly indented with no raised areas. They are much better than the Winchester bullets of the same type I loaded on my last batch.
It's going to be a while before I get them all loaded up, and can do any accuracy testing with them. I've got a ton of cases to prep, and I'll hold off with those until the hot weather sets in this Summer. I'm going to have to get another 8 pounds of powder, and I'm trying to decide what to buy. I want something that meters through my Dillon measure well. I was thinking about trying H-335 or else BL-C2. Both are good in the AR-15. For anyone who loads a lot of .223, check out these Lake City Projectiles from Wideners. They are good bullets at a very good price. Bill T.
