Personally? My biggest issue is the tucked in shirt. How the heck can you carry wearing "business casual'? I'm sure there great ideas out there beyond pocket carry. I'd love to see them.

A comparison of deployment times for the various modes of CCW (from first threat to first shot) might be helpful to folks that are looking at the advantages/disadvantages from one carry mode to another.

Choosing the proper gear for CCW (belt, holster, etc); for example: demonstrate why a 3/4" dress belt is a no-go for CCW.

Draw techniques from various CCW modes.

How to carry all the "other" stuff, too--spare mag, light, phone, etc. and how not to flash/print while retrieving phone or wallet

How to deal with disarming discretely in the car if you HAVE to go into a no-carry area.

Importance of a good belt.

Holsters..........

What brands, types and carry modes. We all have a box of them. Would be nice for a new guy to get an ideal of the different modes of carry before he ends up like the rest of us. ;D

I would love to see some tips on carrying mid-size on up pistols and revolvers. A guy like me who can really only afford to own a couple pistols has to have versatility not only in caliber but also in size. I need something that I can take to the range and enjoy a good workout or shoot USPSA with as well as carry for defense. It might be easier for me to conceal larger pieces than others because of the OR climate, which primarily consists of rain 9 months of the year, but any sort of advice would help.

Tucked in shirt carry.
Concealed Carry at the lake/river/beach.
And two important ones that don't apply directly to me, but I'd still like to see.....
CCW for women.
CCW for the handicapped.

You aren't Dakota, and you'll forgive my laughter, but untangling yourself from a bike, then drawing and firing, all in one smooth fluid motion? MB will more than earn his money if he can solve that problem. ;D

Perhaps a swift dismount over the handlebars, a combat roll into prone? Well, all the times I did that it wasn't intentional and I ended up more in the Keith rollback (FYI on my ass!). Not to mention I wasn't shooting at anything.  ;D

How about the 1st C.  you know the concealed part. Most people that carry a gun have no idea what it means.

Next would be things not to do, rather its for safety like SOB and mexican carry or things that just plan suck like MOB and ankle.

Good points, TAB.
Falling on your back and landing on a gun (wedged against the spine) is not a good thing, and trying to draw the weapon while laying on top of it isn't going to be a piece of cake either.

Its not just the falling on the gun aspect, its also the fact that you basicly have to put yourself in a hammer lock to draw the gun.  Thats not a good thing.  Chances are very good that if you need to use the gun you will be less then 5 feet.

Not to mention that it is not that hard for someone to take your gun from your SOB holster if they know it's there.

Warm weather carry.

Without wearing tacticool pants with thigh pockets, calf pockets, and look like military issue, how about pocket pistol holsters, or IWB rigs for shorts, and a tucked in shirt, with a snub or slightly larger semi-auto?

Like the idea of spare mag, speed strip ideas, if possible also.

Although winter is coming,... in S. Florida, I think I wore "pants/jeans" 3-5 times.

A review of those concealable shirts? Good, Bad,???

Look forward to the new series MB. Thank you.

I no longer can enjoy the weekly schedule due to my "free" cable where I live.  I look forward to the day when the ODC replays the episodes on-line

CC is a personal thing that takes practice with whatever means with which you carry.  Regardless of how or what you carry, reloading is a constant issue.  How 'bout various means of carrying spare mags, loaders, speed strips, et al.... and the techniques required to employ them.

I would make note of the fact that your pre-CCW wardrobe is likely obsolete, and you have to get used to wearing roomier garments.

I would suggest de-emphasizing speed of draw (which drives us to the impossible concealed rig) and emphasize avoidance or running away like those knights from Monty Python.

Unconcealed (open carry) is the best way for the common man/woman to achieve speed, and unfortunately that's a different subject / reality.

Beach weather concealed is a man bag.

Important safety tip, unholster or unclip the weapon's holster before dropping trou. One time I sat and,  thunk. Oops! :-[ Nol big deal, just embarrasing to myself. I just don't use a urinal if I'm carrying IWB. I'll find a stall.

For CCW a J Frame Smith & Wesson in a pocket holster is gonna be hard to beat..
For all you guys who carry huge guns once you've carried an Airweight/Airlite around for a while you'll wonder why you ever carried those bricks around..
In fact I bet a loaded 15rd 9mm magazine weighs more than a Airweight..

It seems that alot of folks are going to the Ruger LCR & LCP too..

I'll stick with what I know works for me.. A Good 9mm..
Did I tell you that they have never jammed or failed to feed anything ever fed.. HaHa!!

+1 Headknocker.

Warmer weather I tend to carry either the Glock 30 or the Ruger LCP (With and extra magazine or two).

Really like the idea from Pegleg about handicap carry.

They need to make a diaper bag that can be used for concealed carry for mothers/fathers.

I carry my S&W 696 44spl in a Galco Combat Master. This holster rides high and tucks in close to your side. I load my 44 with Cor-Bons DPX, this is one very bad load. It should be at 54 dollars for a box of 20. This bullet is made for killing and that is what it will do,STOMP all over you.

Thanks for asking Michael!

I've been traveling a lot lately and missed this one.

I would like to see more on carry in business attire - Suits, sport coats, shirt and tie with no coat etc.  There are a lot of times in life where a person can dress  to make carry easy, but business dress makes it tough at times.  Maybe it is simpler than appears, but maybe going through much of what you have only in a manor that depicts the old "IBM" suits that still exist in the business world.

Thanks again for what you do and for caring enough to ask!

Handicap stall with the baby changing station  ;D  Makes a great shelf to "unpack," and it is usually within reach from the stool.

I have seen more than one show, and I have read more than one article that says to put your gun in your shoe ... I am not taking my shoe off in a public restroom!

How about just slipping it down your pant leg, since their around your ankles any way, so the muzzle is in your shoe , Hum, sound alittle better ?  ;D

That is what I do when no changing table.  However, being what they call either full bodied or a man of substance, I like the large stall, and since I carry a big gun I like to take it out as long as it is handy (makes getting the pants back up and adjusted easier).  If I leave it in the muzzle does fit real nice in the shaft of my boot.

Or ... I can just crap before I leave in the morning and install a cork  :-\

A loaded 1911 is FAR SAFER than crapping in a public toilet.....

I'm in the local Kohls last winter, get the urge and decided that I ain't gonna make it home in time so I take the plunge and head to the head.  Two stalls, one occupied, the place is a mess, really nasty.

I remove the 1911, look for a place to put it and there isn't a horizontal surface other than the floor so I drop the mag and rack the slide to catch the cartridge.  Lord knows what the guy next to me thought but I'll be damned if I'm gonna sit there cocked and locked.  Anyway, I take care of my business and reach for the paper.  It's about a foot out of reach and real low near the floor so I have to get up and bend over (bad hip don't bend too good) to get enough to wipe my backside, fumbling with my pistol and cursing under my breath for the dipshit that designed the crapper and the moron who mounted the TP dispenser thingy.....

All the while, the guy nest to me is having some sort of explosive, monster of a dump.....I finish up, reload and swore to the porcelain god that I will never, ever, ever, ever use a public restroom again.  I crap my pants first...

CCW Maybe? How about products and ideas for carrying long guns in your vehicle for those extra exciting times of your life.

The proper cover for and different styles of shoulder carry.

Little trama kits that can be carried on your persons or in a vehicle with items in it to treat trama.

Knives, OC spray, lights, what, where and why?

Ideas for carrying keys. To expound on this...

I carry two sets of keys, one set has my vehicle keys and the other set has my house keys with an ASP OC spray baton attached. If confronted and asked for keys I can choose which keys and provide a decoy if needed. I also carry a decoy wallet something to think about.

I have two issues:

First - My job makes it impossible not to use public more than anyone should have to, much less like to;

Second - I have access to, and carry with me, disinfectants to make it better.  I even have deodorizer, not masking but eliminating, that I carry with and have used.

A funny, and cautionary tale for you M58. A friend of my dad's was moving down from Mi. to Fl.. He moved himself and his wife in as a "vacation home", and they decided to just say the hell with it and move down and sell the house in Grand Rapids. Now, our hero's wife is a fine woman. Smart, attractive for her age, and she likes to fish. However, she is a bit paranoid/OCD about germs. She actually wears rubber gloves when cutting meat and always carries a bottle of purel. So naturally, she worries about her hubby driving the U-Haul back getting the cooties from roadside restrooms.
You'll pardon me for laughing off screen, but this where it starts to get really good (and yes I'll burn in hell for laughing, but you'll be right there with me).

Anyhow, she gives our hero a bottle of purell and bleach soaked baby wipe type bathroom cleaner  things to wipe down toliet seats on his sojourn south. The hubby complies. However, he got a case of the runs do to a bad batch of McNuggets and spent a couple of extra days and many more pit stops than planned. About day five he notices that his ass is sore. By day eight, when he arrives home, his wife informs him he looks like a baboon. Off he goes to the doctor, as the wife is convinced he'd gotten VD from the toilet seats. ;D
After several blood tests, the doc is at a loss to explain the butt rash. Off he goes to an internist to for more tests. This time, the Doc asks questions. The most pertinent of which was "So, you wiped the toilet seat with a chlorox cleaning wipe before you sat down every time"?
"Well yeah".
"How many times did you hit the head over the last week or so"?
"Damned if I know, I could barely last twenty miles before I had to stop. It was dozens of times. Do you think I got the clap or something from the can? My wife will kill me".

And then the diagnosis.
"No, I'm afraid its more serious than that. You have an accute case of bleach ass. Lay off the chlorox and you'll be fine". :o ;D

You've got to love it. Beware of  public restrooms and crazy women. They will both lead to badness. ;D
