I had to share. Went to the range today for the first time in months. I took the Evil Roy single action and the M1 carbine. Since replacing all the springs in the carbine this spring, I had not had it out to see if it still works. Also, I really missed shooting the SAA.
First stop was the pistol range. I was a little rusty, but it felt so good to send some stress and anxiety downrange. Having the range to myself was nice, too. :) Anyway, after spending some quality zen time with the revolver, it was time to head to the rifle range. While putting my gear into the range bag, I noticed a small sheet of bb gun targets, so I put 2 of them up on the back stop, put 2 rounds of .357 into the revolver, and shot from 10 yards free hand.
This was the result:

Not a bad photo for a cell phone. Working for a camera manufacturer, that makes me feel secure. :)
I know most of you guys are thinking "So what, big deal. I can do that with my eyes closed." Well I can't, and I wanted to share. I'll try to post about my experience on the rifle range later. Now it's chore time.
Thanks for your time.

I think you did darn good. I know I couldn't do that, especially with a single action.
Glad you had a good week as well.

Good shooting! SAA is always more fun and accurate for me.

Thanks for the kind words, all. I only hope it isn't several months before making it back to the range.

Now that is one fine lookin' smokewagon, BAC.......and a real shooter too....best of both worlds.

Love SA shooting. Gave it a go for the Gunman 1911 Contest. Those .45Colt's are a dandy round for me.
The Vaquero .357 is next. ;D

Nice Shooting! I'd love to try .45 Colt, but can't get past the price of ammo.

Ive been shooting for a long time and most cant shoot two shots like that. Im spotty with my Bullseye so some days I can match your feat and some I cant. Be thankful because there are many that cant and never will. Nice shooting!!

Wide selection can be Harder to find than .357, too. I hate that, cause I love the .45 Colt round. You pretty much have to reload to have decent ammo selection though. That's why I traded my .45 Colt off last year. The same thing has kept me from getting a .44 Special Bulldog.
