Haven't been to NYC for 25 years. It's still there, mostly as I remember it. First stop, was Ground Zero. What a sense of sadness, even though construction is underway, the area is very humbling. Lots of tourists, but all had a sense of reverence and loss.

On the double decker tour bus, our route took us to the U.N. I had to find the knotted revolver statue. Sure enough, uthere it was.
I thought I would do the appropriate thing:

There was a security detail, armed ???, just to my right, so I didn't want to piss on it, or anything else crude. So I took out my NRA Card, and Florida CCW Permit. ::)
The Asian tourists, didn't know what to think.... ;D
Did the Empire State, Central Park, Soho, Times Square stuff...

I got more pics, but for another time. I just knew the U.N. buffoons and their stupid statue deserved some DRTV "love"....
8) Weather was fantastic. Still too damn expensive, but a good day trip. Damn sure would NEVER want to live there.

I always thought the knotted revolver looked bigger, from photos I'd seen. I always thought it was more the size of the bull on Wall St.. I'm glad to see that you shrunk it in both size and importance.

Sounds like a fun trip. Pisses me off to know that my money went to make that stupid revolver travesty.
On the big pic though, you looking at the video game billboard, or the GIANT set of ta-ta's next to it? ;D I'm going to assume the ta-ta's were awe inspiring you couldn't hold the camera strait. On that, how the does something like that end up in public on the street?

Other thoughts include: How ironic! Armed guards around the statue.
Wonder what the twist rate is?
Assuming a smooth radius on all the turns, would it fire?

More importantly, could you drive a really fast mercedes through it? ;D
