After the dust storm my initial jury duty post caused, I thought I would post how it turned out. For once I can say I am proud of Palm Beach County. They have their act together. It used to be when you were called, you showed up up at 8 am and sat around in a cattle call for up to three days to see if you were called or not. No more.
Now, you call the day before and punch in your juror number. I was told I was on "phone reserve' and would not be required to show up this morning. I was to call back by 10:30 am, for a possible afternoon voire dire, which I dutifully did. Again, I was on "phone reserve" and had to call back at 5 pm for possible service tommorow. As it turns out, I was told that my services were not required and I was excused. I never had to leave my home. :o
FQ13, who can feel public spirted, without having moved too far from the couch. Take that BillT! ;D ;D ;D

See how helpful being on those Homeland Security "Watch Lists" can be? ;D

Thanks FQ, it doesn't have to be painful.

Well, now we know who to send the jury wranglers to talk to if the still use a cumbersome system.
